The 3rd line was fun to watch. Czarnik's speed on that line brings an added threat that has been missing. I really want the Real Deal James Neal to start scoring but its hard to argue with Czarnik's 3 games in and 3 points on that line.

Thx Todd, I agree the boys seem to have got their mojo back! As far as Hathaway goes I think he has played his best hockey of his career! Kinda like Bennett he has found where he fits in on this team as well as the nhl. I think he is going to be a ferland type player come playoff time with a little less skill. I really really hope the flames add without subtracting. Especially all the young D. The core forwards are set for a number of years, now let’s do the same with the defensive group...... I have confidence tri will not mess with the chemistry of this team.

A fine effort from almost everyone, although Smith did let a stinker in (and it was 2 goals on 8 shots).
Something's off with Monahan but I liked the effort from everyone else.

Neal just looks too slow and confused when he's playing, especially compared to Czarnik. I haven't missed him yet.
I'm not sure that you can "do" anything with him, except play him when he's healthy again, but not on the top two lines. If there was a way to trade Frolik-- not that I hate his game, or the player-- then Neal's got a spot where he can succeed eventually.
It's more likely that you could trade Frolik than Neal.

Don't trade Anderson or Kylington (or Valamaki), Brad!! The young D looks pretty good out there.
Maybe someone would take Prout off of our hands. Please.

Czarnik has looked unreal the oast few games, finally playing with some confidence- they need to keep him in the ineup, and on the 3rd line when Neal returns

Good blog Todd
Agree on most you said, czarnik adds a lot of speed to that 3rd line, driving to the net with purpose. Hamonic trade is looking very good this year now that he's away from Brodie. Speaking of which it was good to see Peters sit him after that 2nd goal, just wasn't his night. Hathaway was a menace out there, he had everyone worrying about him instead of the puck. Continually causing havoc. Backlund Lindholm, Frolic had a great game as a line. Made me think maybe we don't need Stone. Like Ryan's play now that he's on the 4th line. Tkachuk looks lost imo, easily knocked off the puck, wouldn't be suprised if hesgoing through an injury. Good to see johnny score after going 9 games goalless, maybe now he'll get back to playing like he was before the break.

I see we play Ottawa the day before the tdl. Waiting to see if he's still there.

Brodie needs to have a good rest of the year so we can trade him at the draft

The way our young D is shaping up it kinda reminds me of the preds from years back where they had such a glut of D coming that they could afford to move on from guys like Suter and hamhuis

If we trade Brodie that still leaves us with

Gio
Hanifin
Hamonic
Andersson
Kylington
Valimaki

Do we have stone next year as well lol kinda forgot about him

Agreed, Neil looks really slow out their, although he has been playing better as of late. One thing Neil has is a boat load of experience ,and that will come in handy if the flames go deep. All will be forgotten if he has a good playoffs🙏

At Duran, since quote isn't working. Stone is practicing again and wearing the non contact jersey.

Neal/Frolik/Dube

Ryan(they keep 1mil)/Dzingel/2020 2nd

I think Dzingel for Dube is an upgrade. Ryan and Neal are a wash if the mil is off the board. And Frolik is most likely gone next year.

Chuck/Backs/Dzingel as a 2nd line is a great scoring threat update.

Chuck- Back- Dzingel would be excellent! Don’t know if I would give dube up though
On another Note:is anyone sick and fukin tired about hearing about the leafs! ( who will the leafs play in the first round? Do the leafs need a left shot D? Did Mathews take a sht today? Does Tavares have another wife in New York? Is Babcock coach bro? Is kadri an alien?)ugg! On a positive I think it will be year 43 without winning the cup. HAHa

The more I see Andersson and Kylington play the more I don't want to see those guys go. Especially for a 1 year rental. Unless the return is for a young NHL player that can be extended that fills a need I don't think I want to see their names in any trades. Valimaki shouldn't be in the trade rumors either. Not even for a guy named Stone.

See my NHL 19 deal from yesterday. Winner-winner, chicken-dinner! Though I had A&W last night... and that poop was delicious.

Dzingel is 26 and Dube is 20.
Dzingel's first year pro in the AHL he was 22 and in 66 games he put up 17G, 17 AST 34 PTS
At 20 in the AHL this year Dube has put up 9G, 16A, 25 PTS in 24 games.
When Dube is 22 and a MAN he will put up 40pts in the NHL.
Get Dzingal for sure but use other assets not Dube.
