As Bingo just said it desribes the style of game those teams play.

Yeah I get it now. Just think if you are going to do chart it should be concrete good or bad with raw numbers. Dull is more opinion. Like a Tanner chart

The term dull is an opinion. What might be dull for you, might be exciting for the fan of the team winning

You think Isles fans think their team is dull?

I mean, if they don't, they're just like Devils fans in the early 2000's.

It's boring as hell. Yeah, they win, so great, but their games are definitely dull relative to what other teams are putting out there.

Who would have thought that Trotz would also roll out a boring team. That's kind of his MO, the Caps were just so skilled they couldn't be boring even if they tried

Yep. It's how the Preds managed to be competitive for forever with Paul Gaustad as their 1C

I think if Nashville wins the cup, my head is going to explode. It's no secret that Trotz and Poile misued serious HOF talent. Poile isn't Chia by any stretch, but your last statement just shows the inability of him to build around Weber.

Ok - but they better be scratched when they play the devils/caps back to back! That would be extremely idiotic.

Foolish for so many reasons. None of us have any idea what the offers are out there but I would think getting a deal done now would benefit us with more teams competing against each other.

TRADE: Capitals acquire LW Carl Hagelin from the Kings for a third-round pick in the 2019 draft and a conditional sixth round pick in the 2020 draft.

I'd like to amend some previous thoughts:

The prices for bottom six rentals are (frank)ing hilariously overpriced this year. You guys are going to get a haul for Hayes/Zuke

Does anyone think part of the reason they’d part with/trade Hayes is to sign Duchesne in the summer? It’s obviously a risk with no guarantee of a Duchesne

I still think they’re gonna major players in UFAs this summer, just a question of who.

I think jimmy said, it’s pretty unlikely they’d be into missing the playoffs for 3 straight seasons. I kind of agree and they’ve accumulated enough prospects by now imo, and this years picks still to come

Gimme me the trifecta of Karlsson Duchesne and Panarin😈 May need a magician to figure out the money tho

kings kept 50% of hagelin's contract too

kind of annoying that we used a salary retention on spooner

Give me Panarin or Duchene. Stay away from Karlsson.

Does that not count towards our limit if he's not in the NHL?

But if I’m not mistaken, doesn’t allow us to retain money on another player

Yea you’ve made that clear lol

I don’t think the plan they have can be much longer with the rebuilding. There isn’t much to trade after this deadline, unless it’s Kreider. In NYC rebuilding can get to be much more frowned upon then some small market place

What counts is a "retained salary transaction", the emphasis on "transaction". The Rangers made a trade where they retained salary. Whatever his new team did with him is irrelevant.

Yeah who needs a defenseman that scores like a really, really good forward. Karlsson would be tied with Kreider for 2nd in points on the Rangers right now.
