so annoying. LOSE 3-2 every night! It's incredible just how bad Ottawa and the other bottom-dwellers are. It's not that difficult to be better than them. Detroit has overachieved all year and is finally down to earth. Then you have LA who just sucks for whatever reason. I guess age hit Carter and Kopitar hard. They have 2 good goalies.. Doughty.. some good dmen.. I don't get it.

Don't worry, we're going to lose a lot more games. They couldn't just lose all of the games for the rest of the season.

well yea, but if Schneider is finding his game, and Hall comes back.. we're at least a .500 team and we need to be worse than that to pass some of the crap that is somehow worse than us.

But with the trade deadline you're going to see decent roster players moved for futures on top of the abortion of a defense. I think we'll be fine for a good pick.

what decent roster players though? Johansson and who else? It's not like Jo is lighting the lamp. He'll essentially be replaced with Hall. We'll get a good pick, but we need one of those top 2.

Johansson has something like 10 points in his last 10 games and we have other complimentary depth pieces on cheap contracts that could interest teams. I'm not saying it's a lot but those are the kind of players that go. When they go you fill your team with AHL players and lose all of your games.

I am hoping if we trade MOJO we could possibly get a prospect who is possibly NHL ready and at least a halfway decent prospect. Lord knows our draft picks lately have not worked out to well lately!

If NJ wants to lose all their games, they just need to keep the roster as is. If they pull too many AHL players up, they'll try too hard in order to make a case to play in the NHL.

i don't know why people keep saying this, since shero/castron have taken over drafting (2016 on) its been light years better than conte's last decade

Agreed. If some of those picks don't pan out in another 2-3 years people can criticize but the number of guys we had crack the line up already is very impressive.

just 2016:
Bratt is top 10 player from this class, McLeod/Bastian TBD but only a few players I remember preferring over them day of draft...they were picked around their projection so can't knock shero

joey anderson, in the NHL at 20 and doesn't look out of place, gignac respectable #s in his first pro season, maltsev still looks like he could be a good bottom 6 player, rykov was probably our best D prospect at the time we traded him, and jeremy freakin davies is a hobey baker nominee, give me a break
