Load them all up. Puljujarvi and Nuge for Vanek and Nielsen. |
|
|
|
Sam Gagner >>> Teddy Purcell >>> 2016 3rd
Jordan Eberle >>> Ryan Strome >>> Ryan Spooner >>> Sam Gagner
I think the Overall Net of this trade tree is
Jordan Eberle for a 2016 3rd (Matthew Cairns) |

The net value out of the two trade trees combined would actually be the 2016 3rd and Gagner since we eventually get him back.
Edit: Nevermind. |

Can the Oilers sell McDavid on not being truly competitive for the next 3 years? (meaning Stanley Cup competitive)
Assuming they hit on a top 5 pick, this year and next as well as getting solid 2nd rounders, That's how long it's going to take to develop the new picks and rid yourselves of the bad contracts and open up realistic capspace for Free Agents
You'll also have to somehow convince Nuge to stay, or trade him for more picks/prospects
What a waste |

No, because the only net loss from the trade is Eberle, and the only net gain is the 2016 3rd

Stolarz has to start ten games before the end of the season or he would be a UFA at the end of the year which I’m sure the Oilers will do just that |

Read the blog, worth noting, Stollie becomes a UFA if he doesn't play ten games for the rest of the season. Not a guaranteed RFA. Shouldn't be an issue though if he can stay healthy. |

How bad were the knee injuries he had in the past? Were they on the same knee? |

Talbot had more starts once Koskenin signed his new contract so I’m pretty confident he will get his ten starts

I would be willing to swap franchises with Seattle. They can have Mcdavid, the Management, the works. Edmonton gets the expansion draft. |
