Millions of dillars and they get it all.

Soldiers are told they'll do everything to get you home for yours(you usually get two weeks off in a year deployments), and they don't usually get to make it. Sometimes you get video.

I get it's important and probably benefits the team, but try protection in May/June time frame and maybe shoot for impregnating your wife in November/December....you know, millions of dollars and such; it takes just a little effort to plan.

This thread for the Blues is really becoming garbage. So consider this a stick in the windpipe to get your $h!# together and get behind the 'Note.

Congrats to Steener on the birth of his child, I'm guessing his first, but that doesn't matter. He's endured far too much crap the past few years from fans with agendas and media, but still is getting back in the lineup post-concussion probably sooner than he should. MLB now has paternity leave for family circumstances, maybe the NHL will go for something similar in the next CBA negotiations. It's not his problem his employer is allowing him to be a decent human being to be there for the birth of his child. Maybe his skills are eroding due to age/situational use, but he does seem to give a damn. It's not his fault his extension was a year too long, but that seems typical in this organization. Bully to the Note for letting him be a dad.

And congrats to Jake, who plugs along without causing a fuss when the backup is hot, yet you never ever hear him say a bad thing about them or teammates when they leave him out to dry with shoddy defense, a la the last start. He certainly isn't a blue falcon to the guys he plays beside. I've never heard him blame anyone for his struggles in net other than himself when things are not going optimal or the team in general with regards to the play in front of him. And that, at times, earlier this season was pretty hideous.

Yet to read this thread after last action, 4 goals were all his fault and he sucks, despite seeing his first action in over 3 weeks. Against one of the best teams in the league in NSH. Not what I saw on the condensed game feed. I saw a bunch of defensive breakdowns, and, admittedly, some slow Jake covering wraparounds. Seems to have solved that this game.

If you don't like what I've said, I don't give a friggin' damn, so you can skip any PMs touting your views or apologies. I'm proud of the players wearing the 'Note, and how they are turning this battleship of a season around, most especially, and I'll not be having anonymous forum posters besmirching them for a few warts or questioning their rights as men.
