Meh, not really - if he can get even slightly close to his ability again (i.e. not have to deal with the poopshow oilers D) then you could have bought a Franklin for a Washington...

Because he traded a guy that has been a pro for 7 years and has appeared in 19 NHL games? A tad mellow dramatic...no?

It’s being reported that stolarz will be a ufa if he doesn’t get in to 10 more games. If that’s true no problem with this trade

Yes. I think stolie has a better future. Talbot is good an I have no problem eating crow if I'm wrong but I dont see Talbot as that big of an upgrade over stolie.

I think Im still bitter about the Bobs trade... I dont want to see a repeat. That's all

Again.... if I'm wrong I will be happy!!

If that's true then I am ok with it. We have a log jam of goalies anyway... if they ever stay healthy

Foolish to give up on Stoli after so much time invested. You can’t teach 6’5”

I still feel like we did Edmonton a favor here. Stolie will get 10 games.
Fletcher should have gotten at least a 3rd rounder for helping Edmonton with their cap issue.

I'm just not a fan of this trade just yet
Stolie looked good before his injuries and has looked solid so far this season. Sure, He had work to do but he is young and missed significant time.
If it wasnt for stolie's injury history I'd be upset about this trade

This!!
Hart is the future, for sure.... but if stolie stays healthy I think he will be an excellent goalie....
We do have some really good goalie prospects over seas right now but you know that doesnt always translate to the NHL

I understand what you are thinking for sure but the words "IF HEALTHY" for Flyers and their goalies is too much for them I think..

Thanks for responding, Ek!

Just ask hextall how that worked our for him with Elliott and glass man neuvirth.
Personally I think edmonton made out on this deal. Cap space and a younger goalie.... I think fletch could have done better. Thats all.
But if it makes Hart feel comfortable and helps the flyers then I am on board. I just think fletcher sold low here.

You're a flyers fan too.. how do you feel about this deal?

Either way, let's go flyers!

He very well might be better then Talbot in the future. But he would have no chance of achieving that with the Flyers. To this point in his career he has not proven to be anything more then an AHL goalie with injury problems.

I don’t see how this is a good trade. Younger and cheaper player for a non great goalie who cost more. We should have gotten a lot more for a young goalie. Why not have the competition between the two young goalies.
