Would love to see another terrible trade from McPhee.

James Tanner

The forward that should be avoided at the deadline is the consensus best player available. Most of the hockey world agrees this player will be the best and most sought after asset, but I read a graph that says he's not so I will now dig my heels in and defend this position in the face of all other logic because logic is emotional and therefore unreliable.

I love me some Simmonds. The guy is all heart. But he’s slowing down, and I don’t think it’s all injuries (though they have been a factor). This is his decline. He’ll probably be better next season, but he’s just about out of juice.

So even though I want to see the Flyers go for it for Carter Hart’s sake, I’d be more than happy if somebody foolishly pitched value and/or youth for Wayne.

Wayne Simmonds has been a consummate Flyer and the type of player the city embraces during his stay. It’s just time to move on.

Somebody, please make us an ill-advised offer.

Any contending team that's deep enough to be where they're at right now doesn't need Panarin or Simmonds. If those teams fall short this spring, go all in July 1st to fill whatever hole they need filled.

All teams have needs and you only have to look at past Cup winners to see players added at the deadline that were added to improve their teams.
