Todd outside the top 3 who do like so far in this years draft, is there posibly another bazal that might drop lower then expected or another keller, or petterson. |

That goal by Zacha was pretty nice. Do you think he should move to the RW and be more of a shooter? The kid has a big-time shot Maybe team him with Zajac and Coleman. |

Bratt's skill is underrated in the NHL. His points def dont match his skil level. Kid is sick! |

have we tried Bratt-Nico-Zacha? could be a decent 2nd line, or in our case, top line. |

I’m fully prepared to not pick top 3 in the draft this year just based on a gut feeling (hoping I’m wrong) so I’m looking at cozens and Dach as consolation prizes.
Both seem legit, leaning towards Dach more. Interested to see what others’ opinions are. |

if we are picking out of the top 3 I'd be willing to trade down for a player or a 1st round pick |

Thats what Lou always did and thats how we ended up with the talentless Bighamton team we have now.
I'd trade our first and something else for Panarin and his new 8 yr contract . |

Read again "for a PLAYER or a pick", trading for panering is trading for a player.

second) we didn't trade down for Barzal in 2015, and we ended up with an AHL player in Zacha |

Your post was a little confusing, You said trade first for a first... Did you mean a late first round pick?
I was getting at that lou many time would trade his first pick of draft for like a 2nd and 3rd or (2) 2nds. That was my point. |

I know Lou traded down to let Calgary draft Trevor Kidd in 1990 at 11th when we took Martin Brodeur at 20th.... but I can't think of any other time Lou did that. Do you have examples?
Shero did it recently with Ottawa in the Logan Brown/Michael McLeod draft (2016). |

Oy....
Please refer to him as Brian Boyle 2.0... we should be so lucky. Bet he does end up on our fourth line soon. Just read about him on NJ.com and of course Kenny was originally drafted by... Ray Shero for the Penguins. Maybe it's J-S Dea 2.0. |

No I dont. This was long time ago so maybe my mind is exaggerating. But I know its happened but maybe not as much as I thought. |

It may have. I just didn't pay that much attention to the draft for a few decades until like 2012. But you're right whatever Lou (and Conte) did got us into plenty of trouble eventually. Matt Corrente. Enough said. Jacob Josefson. Bad memories..... |

He won't be anything special but right now it's good to get extra players if you intend on trading guys for picks come deadline. |

Zacha may not open your eyes with his offensive stats but he is def an NHL player. He is very good defensively and he does have good vision and better passing ability than many think. His stats would look better if we had someone on his line that could put the puck in the net.
Yes he won't be barzal but he has shown that he is capable of being an everyday player and his offense is slowly picking up. |

Byram or Broberg should be the pick if we miss out on Hughes/Kakko. |

I can’t see how we win a game If we trade MoJo and Hall stays out of the lineup.
We should give Cory as many starts as he feels up to. |

For the record Lou traded down twice in 2008, to settle on tedenby while letting john carlsson go to washington a few picks later. Then in 2009 he traded down to grab the legendary jacob jofeson, while passing on a young marcus johansson and klye palmarei. |

Did you live near Marty when he was in totowa? I used to work at the Staples there next to Home Depot! |
