Tom gave you a pretty comprehensive list of kids that have the potential to be game changers. Not many high-end defensemen in this draft, but there are lots of good forwards. I'd say the real talent probably starts to tail off around 12-15.

I do like the draft though, no argument there

Yeah that was dumb. They probably had to do that because it's hard to tell your fans you're passing on the 4th overall pick because you plan on sucking a lot more the following year

It was a bad thought, but I'm sure they thought that the season before they made it to the ECF. They knew it was going to be rough going, but I think they thought they could avoid finishing this year with a top 5 pick. They were wrong.

Maybe, but it's doubtful they made decisions for the 2018 draft with incomplete information on the 2019 draft.

I also wouldn't get too hung up on handedness, it's pretty irrelevant in general, but especially less than a year after you drafted these kids.
