He can still go down for the playoffs. Can't he?
- manvanfan

They still need to make the playoffs first . Yes he can go down anytime. He is a big part of their offence so if he is called up here for insurance , then they should pick another guy.

Not the same with Briesbois . He has been their 3rd best LHD. Sautner is back and McEneny keeps on rolling They brought in a reliable Stephan Leblanc to cover so they could promote a LHD in case of injury.

It's not an either/or scenario.
He can be recalled for a couple days and then sent down if he doesn't play.

It would not make sense to call one of Comets top scorers in the middle of a playoff race when you have Schaller and Granlund that can cover

I thought Gulzy must have been back behind the bench for the Mighty Flickers.

I’m still perplexed as to why they haven’t played Brisebois. Natural lefty, would make sense to play him instead of Poos a lot. Which would also remove Biega from the lineup as Tanev could move back to the right.

again, he doesn't have to be recalled for the rest of the season, some time in the pro's is helpful for the development of the player (ultimately the point of the affiliate) which he can then take back to Utica if he doesn't play with the canucks.

Then management would be bloody fools if they pulled one of Utica's best forwards in a desperate playoff race to come up and let him see what practicing with the Canucks is like. Why not then wait until after today's game instead?

I think you will find out this week Baertschi will be out for a while and Zack will get a look at .

Granlund actually has good shootout numbers for his career, but I had zero confidence he'd score last night. I can only imagine how he felt.

He was rushed in on Friday also

I've had tickets to see Ozzy twice and he has cancelled both times.

My thoughts are he will will approach death the same way...just cancel it.

Without Edler, Tanev has looked lost at times.

But more concerned on Sutter since he has been back he has looked off.

Still playing injured possibly?

You are right on how lopsided it was. It was terrible hockey in the 2nd period. In the end though, the final score is what matters. If it had no business going to OT then Calgary should have scored a few more goals to make it so.
- manvanfan

petey to boeser was the opposite of terrible, but 99% of that period was trash, yes

Incompetence/accidental Tank perhaps.

If Benning was stealth tanking he would be going after more picks not "filling the age gap" or looking to make hockey trades. One thing he has proved is he and the draft team he has assembled can find talent throughout the draft and actually have a better record IMO later than with top picks.
