Well hes on the ice with 5 other teammates so its not all on him.
He needs a change of scenery and better linemates. - Fakepartofme
or...he has just aged and played a pretty physical game for years and its caught up with him and he is just not what people think he is anymore.
and thats fine, players like him and Lucic tend to hit a wall earlier.
or he will magially return to his 2016 self ...magically... |

Could be hes just aged.
Could be hes just aged, plays on a team that up until they got a new goalie was faltering and he needs better teammates or a change of scenery. Which could improve his play.
Or it may not.
Nothing magical about it. |

new topic.
Man the Sens could get a major Haul of picks and prospects if they trade Stone, Duch, Zingel and Ceci (which they should)
over under is 4.5 first round picks.
one problem is they would still need to get to the cap floor next season..but just sign 1 year deals and avoid longer term signings
But stone is so good, he should get a massive return |

Still, one player when there are 5 skaters per side. It's tough to blame it all on him.. Philly hasn't had the best goaltending, it could be a number of factors. |

Counter argument;
Ottawa, led by Dorion/Melnyk... not that smart |

would just be a very poor bet, i mean unless the cost was minimal
but Dubas doesnt seem like the type to make those types of bets |

No the athletic says so. Its all him.
But seriously, i wouldnt give up a lot for him, he could help the leafs, but wouldnt trade too much.

saying that makes as much sense as saying 3 years of poor results is all his teammates
he basically is Lucic ...just not very good anymore |

Once they get a pick or two they will go after prospects instead. They should move everyone and hope Duchene or Stone return in the off-season. |

Yes poor results.
You mean the 3 seasons of 20 plus goals, two of which were 30 plus. Finishing with 46 - 60pts each of the past 3 seasons. Tied a career high in points and had his 3rd highest point total in 16/17.
Poor results indeed. Most players would love to have those poor results.
Hes had a down year this year, but its not over.

Why in God's name would they do that?
. . . we didn't start the fire
But we're not returning
'cos the tires are burning . . .
Trading away these good players for mid-first picks help to stock the cupboard with some 2nd / 3rd line guys, but they need to raze it to the ground for a couple of years to rebuild the high-end talent.
