This is one of the scheduled losses. Makes it a lot less painful to watch knowing there was never a chance we'd win unlike the many games against other bubble teams and below where we blow 3rd period leads.

That’s a tough question to answer between the two.....I would say Hitch but if I never saw Eakins in Edmonton then I wouldn’t even have to think twice about it I would go with Eakins

I don’t want to complain about the refs but they are terrible tonight....we would have lost regardless but terrible officiating

Yeah I’m rather surprised Carlyle is still there....it seems like they would rather wait till the end of the season but how worse does it need to be before they fire the guy....I’ll enjoy it till then 👍

They appear to deem the Shark (Vlasic) getting a stick on it the 1st time as a change of possession despite never his having control over it. The 2nd jam by Chiasson and Vlasic where it contacts both sticks is when it pops out to Nuge. By most objective measures, Nurse should still have that assist.

If only our AHL team wasn't on such a tear then I'd have second thoughts about calling up almost their entire top-6 and playing them instead of our bottom-6.

Still ugly but we'd definitely get effort out of them. Unfortunately for the big club, reinforcements should be held to a minimum in an effort to develop the next wave for it's actual arrival next year.

Honestly, I think the most depressing thing I've heard in my whole time as a fan of hockey was Connor (frank)ing McDavid having to say "we're not gonna outscore opponents; we're a team that's gotta win 1-0, 2-1 games". Just absorb that quote for a bit.

He understands what this team is and chooses to not lie to himself.....you can count on him and Drai and at times Nuge....can’t really count on much else....so with this current roster he isn’t wrong but this team can’t keep up defensively and our goaltending isn’t good enough at the moment so we can’t win 1-0 or 2–1 games....not good enough to score and not good enough to defend or hold a lead
