Duchene in a sign & trade would be the ideal scenario, and for the Sens they would be getting either J.Faulk or Hamilton and a first round pick back, so not sure another team would be offering a deal that good. Ferland Imo will play this season out should that happen or A RNH trade instead, but Duchene would put the Canes on another level down the middle.

1.Nino Niederreiter – Sebastian Aho – Justin Williams
2.Micheal Ferland – Matt Duchene – Teuvo Teravainen
3.Andrei Svechnikov – Staal/Lucas Wallmark – Brock McGinn
4.Warren Foegele – Jordan Martinook – Saku Maenalanen

1.Jaccob Slavin – Dougie Hamilton
.2Brett Pesce –Trevor van Riemsdyk
3.Calvin de Haan – Hayden Fleury

No one is getting RNH w/o Lucic coming along - at least that’s the way I’d be if I was Oil -
- dozerD10

I understand the RNH is in the middle of a career year, but based on his previous work, and the fact that Lucic contract is 2 years longer then his, RNH simply isn't good enough on his own to demand another team take Lucic.

No one is touching Lucic contract.

"More from the press box" and sending out a tweet from your discount seats in the nose bleeds isn't the same thing, EK.

Has that happened in the NHL? It's an NBA thing.

It's like "Offersheets", so much excitement over something that never happens.

It happened with the Heatley/Hossa trade back in 08 or whatever. Every offseason since, the SiGn AnD tRaDe armchair GM's come out.

I hate wasting time on things that don't occur. I swear, the Toronto media has spent half of their time on offersheet talk this season. I barely even hear talk about what is occurring on the ice.

Welcome home Dutch Gretzky

All eyes will be on the Habs/Leafs tonight as its already been pointed out that this is the biggest game between the two in decades. Habs have a chance to show they are fo real

I always hate the Habs, but gotta respect their team this year. Julien is in the race for the Adams with Trotz.

Duchene or Stone would be cool, but if Edmonton is interested in futures and trying to free up cap space, RNH would be a perfect add.
- BINGO!

RNH makes sense for Carolina

Brind’Amour and RNH do a charity golf tourney together on Vancouver island each year (cystic fibrosis)

I just talked to a high ranking league executive. He told me the Leafs are OUT on Ferland. More to not come. Don't stay tuned. I'm watching The Crown on Netflix...

I think what they meant was if you take Lucic's contract then the other team gets RNH for an AHL player.

Pierre Lebrun says the Canes are keeping Ferland and are looking to buy because they REALLY want to make the playoffs so.... uh....

......no?

- BINGO!

If by some miracle they were to make the playoffs they're bound to be eviscerated in the first round. This is precisely why they should be trading a pending free agent who is bound to net a substantial (read: absurd) return. So.... uh....

......yes?
