Magnus Paajarvi is still in the league?
- Victoro311

Went from promising rookie to perennial edmonton disappointment. I actually remember that draft. Most had scott Glennie going to edmonton and all lf sudden this guy falls from the top five. Too bad they (frank)ed him up.

This has been something I've been saying since before the season started.... I hated the thought that Brass was going to walk for nothing. With the way we've traded draft picks, they can't afford to let assets leave with nothing coming back. I also felt we needed to infuse some youth.

There's some risk involved but I think it's a worth it.

- madmike71

Thinking about GMJRs history, does he ever let assets walk for nothing?

I think his bigger issue has been his targets. They’re so hit or miss. Some of them are so obvious and some of them aren’t. Hagelin for Perron. Was that on anyone’s radar? Not really, but we were optimistic as hell. But then JJ and Hunwick..

There's a little risk with Bjugstad. Gets injured a lot and he's not all that cheap, but yes, there isn't a ton of risk.
- madmike71

With the cap projected to hit $83MM Bjugstad would take up just under 5%. I’d say that’s prettt damn solid for a young middle 6 forward with a ton of size with rebound potential

These two guys are fresh off a plane and have already shown me 10 times the energy I had seen during DBags tenure in Pitts

He never sucked was just snake bitten. He was one of the only players giving it 100% or close to it every night earlier int the season.

Meh dudes always have a good game with their new team. So much more adrenaline is pumping. Brass is just old and bad now likely and groin issues didn’t help.

He actually kinda reminds me of J Staal in that his acceleration isn't the best but once in full stride is pretty damn fast.

Crazy that he doesn't get consistent PP time either. Just a pure 5v5 point producer.

I’m really liking Wilson’s game, tons of energy and reminds me a bit of M Martin, which this team has really needed!

I agree it may be adrenaline but Brass never wanted to be in Pitt and pouted the entire time...I for one won’t miss him, always liked him on NYR/Ott but not here. Hope these guys gel
