OK, I completely forgot they were playing another outdoor game. It popped up on my FB feed. Reminds me of the Steelers alt Unis.

Well, it appears Armstrong is in on the aspects of analytics because that entire line has had poor puck luck; most specifically Schen's usual linemate Schwartz whose shooting percentage is no where near normal. Tarasenko appeared to have lingering shoulder issues and until recently he never shot like he once did.

Even if this year is lost Armstrong is not going to trade without proper value and that means he is not selling low with the assumption the player is regressing. He's made too many statements that appear he understands this isn't regression.

I also thought Schenn would be great for the Penguins but you all have nothing to offer unless we get to a roster player or players, like a Phil Kessel.

I'm not so sure the Blues have dug a hole that is insurmonuntable just yet. It appears that the numbers might be starting to correct themselves. Games in hand and relative closeness in points plus likelihood of numbrrs rebounding for an entire line plus roster depth. The only negative for the Blues comes in goal.

Thanks for this input, had no idea the level of competence of your GM (well actually, he did get a 1st for Reaves albeit a late one) and to me it means absolutely no way Schenn ends up with the Pens.

It will be interesting to see if they plan on playing Bjugstad and/or McCann at C

Yes, I like this move - doesn't Bjugstad have term left too?

-keeps our 1st round pick
-moves a pending UFA, small roster piece, and meaningless picks for a younger 3C option.
-Didnt mess up our cap this year and in the future (Like a Carter would've done)
-I think Bjugstad can play both center and wing. Nice to have that flexibility.

Great trade by Rutherford, IMO.

2 years at $4.1M (not including this year) I believe and McCann is a RFA after next season.

Not much though. And Bjugstad has (frank)ing sucked this year. I dunno. I don't really like the deal for anybody.

Before you get too excited Bjugstad had been playing as 2 RW and has played very little C the last 3 seasons. McCann had been playing as 4 C and on PP2

I can't say I am a huge fan of the players received but I think PIT gets a marginal upgrade and has players locked in for next season as well now.
