As always, great info Todd but for the exact reasons you’ve explained (he’s played better than his points suggest) is a great reason why he himself (and his agent) probably want to take the MoJo show elsewhere

Thank you! I'm really interested to see what happens with him in the coming weeks and months

I would make that trade tbh but i dont think wsh would..besides i agree that mj is having the worse luck of his career unfortunately however like zacha he is a playmaker and there aren't enough scorers (or even shooters) to finish the passes

I think MoJo, Maroon, Panik, and McElhinney are all good trade targets for the Oilers. I agree with the other comment that NJD probably pulls the trigger on your deal but I don’t think WSH does, I think they would want more

Just realized that Andy Greene has more points than Pavel Zacha.

Get rid of this injury prone player. All he does is force the team to fill his roter spot when injured with someone that sucks. Use his salary for a less injury prone player and just as skilled.

This team doesn't have many more "skilled players" at this point.
MarJo makes Bratt better, and pretty much all of his linemates. If he is not resigning here let Ray move him. But if he says he'd like to stay I'd rather find a way to get Bura HERE to play WITH MarJo. If Ray does not hit the signings home run guys like Marjo will be missed next season.

Sorry Todd, but I know Buro's ice time is that of a 3rd liner, but he's had chances in the top 6 had hasn't produced for WAS. He'll be 24 next month. Honestly, I would rather trade him to EDM for Puljujarvi and maybe a pick. Put Puljujarvi next to Hall and Hischier and let him be. I rather take a shot, then Beau Bennett 2.0.

NJ needs a 2nd liner center, like a Duchene to take pressure off Hicheir and Hall. Then maybe Mojo would click. OTT would probably like a young player(Zacha) and something else, not this year's 1st though.

Duchene was one of the wieners on the taxi talking poop about their coach. I wouldnt touch that POS.

His time with us isn't working for him; he's not going to extend because his agent and the Devils are going to probably be 1.5-2M apart based on performance.

It was a gamble that didn't pay off. You're selling a little low, but you'll basically lose him for nothing unless he has sentimental attachment to the team.

Agreed. I like MarJo and would like to see him back. But if we can get Burakowski (younger with potential) or something similar to him I take it. But yes Todd, no rush to trade him just to trade him.

I’d sign Duchene in the offseason if he was available, but you don’t trade for pending UFAs when you’re rebuilding.

To be fair, his coach is Guy Boucher.

It'll be interesting to see what MoJo's value is around the trade deadline. This team needs to be smart (and lucky) with it's assets and not lose guys for nothing.

Not sure about you, but I have vented my frustrations of my bosses over the years when drinking too. Don't see the big deal.

While I am not the biggest Duchene fan, he would make us a much better team. It would allow Nico to play 2C to get more favorable matchups and Hall would alos have someone to get him the puck

Mojo, Greene, Lovejoy, Boyle are not part of the future. Trade them for anything and move on with the season.

Tihs is correct. If only to stop talking about it, the 4th and 5th round picks we get back will mostly be meaningless for the future. Only Mojo might get some value (especially if teamed up with salary relief).

Don't hate me for this idea. We keep talking about who we can trade and who we need to build around. It appears to me we are at least 2 years away from being competitive. Looking at contracts age, skill and timeline to competiveness should Palmieri be in the discussion of tradeable assets? He could bring in a nice haul, and by the time this team is competitive again his contract will run out. Just looking for ideas. Don't hate it the idea because its Palmieri who we all love. The question to answer is does it make sense for the future of this franchise?

This team will need someone like him around in the future, someone that wants to play here and has leadership qualities.
