If they bring the same compete level they brought against Vegas they should have a good chance to win against a one trick pony in Colorado.

Last night's game was a fun one to watch. BB's game plan was almost perfect. And that top line for the Avs is a fun one to watch. Just glad they couldn't get anything going last night. First game for Hunt and he has over 5 minutes on the PP. Some things are starting to gel a little. Like Aberg, you can see he has offense to his game...and no D. I've seen 2 games now for Rask, and am no impressed so far. And I thought Koivu's feet were plodding on the ice.

It is nice to see Staal with a little giddyup in his game right now as well. He really seemed energized with the game last night. Almost to the point that the Wild might have been better off without the All Star game and bye week right now. Hope he doesn't lose that during his vacation. This Greenway/Staal/Coyle line looks like it really is working. Not the fast line in the league, but could be up there for the strongest with skill line.

And I really like what the 4th line is doing right now. Foligno is the tone setter for them, but JEE is almost doing as much in finishing off checks. Hope he can play RW when Fehr comes back. No more Hendricks or Brown, unless someone needs to have a night off. And I do see Kunin as the odd man out when Fehr does come back on the roster. As much as I would like to keep him up for youth, he seems to have a little bit of "little man syndrome" going on right now. Just needs to slow his game down a little and play within himself.

Few things that I am not liking though...I understand the mentality that you can't score unless you shoot...but the choice of most of Parise's shots right now, ugly! It's like he is trying to force a basketball into a golf cup. If he could find just a little more patience...I don't like where the Wild are at for speed at the C position, pretty slow. And I am not really convinced that they can continue the pace of play that they are at now. In other words, they are getting us all to feel good, then will eventually collapse.

This right here....they will come back to earth as it still really is the same roster unless some significant player movement happens.

Id be on the lookout for guys like coyle, zucker, and granlund to be on the move next. Doesnt sound like fenton wants to make any moves involving picks, and listening to russo on the radio, seems like staal might be sticking around
