I think faulk is fair value. But I doubt the leafs want to trade away a player that’s going to be cheap for the next 3 years for a soon to be UFA.

He's got another year left, and honestly if Kapanen's extension comes in somewhere around $4 mill, then Faulk's $4.8 cap hit for next year isn't the end of the world.

Cap hit is only going to rise. He’s a UFA in two offseasons.

He should get around that.
