Kadri would be their 1st line centre!

Concussion-related issues have forced Ryane Clowe to step down as NL Growlers coach.

That sucks for Clowe.

You mean, he wanted to go to buffalo?

Ugh

- Fakepartofme

It was a perfect landing spot for him. Nobody else was gonna get ice time on Eichel's wing, and he gets a chance to cash in big time on a contract year while being closer to home.

Allegedly he blocked at least one trade elsewhere, and the only other team that for sure made an offer was L.A. who backed out when they signed Kovalchuk.

It (frank)ing blows, man.

John shannon?
Yes fack that guy.
Hes a tool.

- Fakepartofme

He was a big tv exec who craved getting infront of the camera and all the attention it came with. He really is a moron who doesn't seem to understand the game. He's made a lot of other embarrasing observations.

you're just as bad as everyone else:

Leafs lose to FLA: "contenders? More like pretenders..."
Leafs beat WAS: "they got lucky, off-night, Holtby's been bad..."

None of those goals were soft on Holtby last night; they fired 43 shots on net against us, so it wasn't like they weren't trying, but whatever fits the narrative of the Leafs Aren't Good Enough ™.

- gravyface

Ugh relax hon.
Never said they got lucky, Washington is still lethal. But their goaltenders havent been the best lately.

But dont you worry, the leafs are still so awesome.
Yes they are.

I like how the Leafs are under the radar as a contender now. Good place to be.
Tons of pressure on Tampa. They have to win the cup this year.

- RogerRoeper

I havent heard or seen anywhere that the leafs are no longer contenders.
Is this a fan thing? An hb thing?

I do hear constantly they are not a contender from the media and fans compared to quite a few other teams. I don't feel anyone takes them as seriously as they should given their record and overall numbers.

Oh.
Those b@stards, gawd forbid people talk up other teams.

The ebbs and flows of the nhl season.

If the leafs go on a tear, theyll be back up the list.

It's Ron Hainsey's minutes and the media's infatuation with Nylander's "slump" that makes people have this awful awful take.

Once Nylander gets going I take the Leafs forward group over any in the league. Period. Nobody else is on the same level.

Nylander is of no concern to me. Everyone needs to focus on the carcass of Patrick Marleau.

He would easily be the Habs best centre....unless you have another consistent 30 goal defensive centre on the team?

A serious cup contender? Could be in the convo for sure. Anything can happen in the playoffs.
But as of now, this team hasnt gotten past the 1st round.
Once they do, maybe then theyll deserve to be taking more seriously.
Give it time.
Again, they arent as good as their best game or as bad as their worse.

In my entire life I have never made playoff picks based on what a team has done previously. I don't feel that matters at all. Teams change very year, and often a bounce or two differently can be the difference between winning the cup and losing in the 1st round.
Does anyone say the Isles can't win a round because they have not before with this core?

we'll know he's 100% back when he circles the o-zone 3 times by himself and scores lol. i call that move "pulling a willy". pulling a willy is fun.

The return on investment is the best really. I do this for thirty seconds and I get that? Deal!

Has he slowed down that much?

He probably shouldn't be getting 16 minutes per night.

Kapanen for Larsson

Would you do it? Steady, RHD, 26 years old; would look good next to Rielly.

Oilers want a speedy winger to play with McDavid.

Had the isles not been able to beat the same team they previously faced the past two playoffs that they will most likely face again this year.
Then yes, of course they would. It would be a wait see.
No offense but i think you're too sensitive about the leafs.
Theyve proving to be a good reg season team, havent proved anything in the playoffs yet. Series wins wise

Edit: my error, i forgot we lost to Washington 2 years ago, not Boston.
