Hope they trade Ferland too. Then they can have received nothing in return for two of their highest picks of the past decade!

I don't care how much Bingo tries to defend this.

Lindholm and Hanifin are doing great in Calgary... it was a bad trade for the Canes.

- Scabeh

I think Hamilton has overall been better than Hanifin to be honest and Ferland has been a great find for my fantasy team...but (frank) Lindholm's playmaking finally finding finishers has been nuts for that line. If Lindholm had stayed in Carolina I think he would still be the 50 point guy because their best players are almost exclusively pass first (Aho taking his goal scoring to a new level helps).

Oh and (frank) Bingo! anyways.

That's because you're a (frank)ing moron.

....Nah. Happy for Lindholm. Hanifin is a MAGA chud so (frank) him (he's also still super sloppy when he has to actually defend and has piled up a bunch of secondary assists.)

Ferland is 100% going to get traded though. I don't think he's been healthy for more than two weeks since he arrived.

Pretty much. Lindholm would be playing with Aho and, well, that's kind of why it wasn't working in the first place. Too many playmakers, nobody to actually shoot the goddamn puck.

It's why Ferland (and now Nino) work so well. All they have to do is get open and fire away.

Indeed...

Still not quite sure what Minnesota was hoping with that one.

Fenton went full Chiarelli with his first player for player NHL trade.

Now, if you want to dunk on a Canes trade, go after the Jeff Skinner one. (He's slowed down now, but that return still stinks even if he wouldn't accept a trade anywhere else)

Sara Civian of The Athletic says she believes Dougie Hamilton is the guy likely going to be traded because he's the guy that will likely fetch the biggest prize.
- BINGO!

Could look at it the other way as well, making him the least likely to be moved because he'll cost too much.

Have you seen the standings? Have you seen what most other top players play on other teams? Why do our players need more rest than other team's top players?
And why if Babcock is so concerned about making 21 year-old Matthews tired, if he playing 37 year-old Hainsey and 39 year-old Marleau so much? Why did Andersen play so much last season?

- RogerRoeper

Has anyone actually asked Babcock why his stars get so little ice time?

Did he have the same philosophy in Detroit?

I was surprised by such a low return when it happened.... Especially after seeing how much the Habs managed to get for Pacioretty a few days after....but to be fair, I don't think anyone saw Skinner bouncing back as well as he did.

Oh and Hanifin will post better numbers than Dougie once he gets powerplay time on a great Flames team.

b00k it.

There's that too.

They definitely want to get rid of either Dougie or Faulk. Thing is, nobody (frank)ing wants Faulk.

Why is Faulk getting 1st wave powerplay time ahead of Hamilton anyway.

I've been wondering that all year long.

Sarcasm can be a female dog to detect over interwebs and you have a habit of ripping on Marner.
You are like an Aetherial-lite when he comes in aftee every game Matthews doesn't score.

- UsernameUnknown

Yeah, I am never here otherwise...

...and it definitely wasn't me fighting with people here about my assertion that Matthews was the best goal scorer in the NHL.

We've all been wondering that. I think it initially started because they were trying to showcase Faulk and get him going so somebody would bite, but he just isn't bringing it at all.

Dougie's tied for 11th among all D in goals this year and gets almost a full minute per game less PP time than Faulk does. It makes no sense.

The Habs speed compared to the Leafs worries you? Dont worry, that would easily be the best matchup for the Leafs.
- Archaic

yes, I actually think the Habs would be a tough matchup for the Leafs.
Hope im wrong

the Habs are pretty good and I dont like that

I would think that Hamiltons trade value would be hurt by the multiple trades.

It seems to be a big conversation peice when talking about him

No team is perfect, but I laugh at hearing the Leafs aren't good enough when just last season, an expansion team got to the finals.
We saw last night, we have a guy who's a 3rd line C that can be 1st line C on a lot of teams.

And Nylander will look great soon.

- RogerRoeper

Guy, the team that won the Cup last year had the exact same record as the Leafs. I believe the goal differential was in Toronto's favour too.

But yeah, not good enough.
