Todd Cordell: On Zacha's power play performance and upcoming decisions in goal

I would play Kinkaid/Schneider. Playoffs like you said are not happening, and even if they did go on some miracle run to sneak in, I think we all agree it would end in similar fashion as last year. Try and trade Kinkaid then bring Blackwood in to split remainder of season with Cory. Id embrace the tank at this point go for a high pick. In position again to possibly grab the #1 Jack Hughes would be big boost. Unlikely maybe but tell that to Edmonton. I also think trading Greene could be wise. Giving the C to Hall can’t hurt chances of getting him to ink an extension.

Meh, at this point I'd rather keep giving opportunities to people here for the long term or that will at least have some trade value.

I bet Shero has a team that goes through the finances of the other teams to see who could be cash strapped and looking to deal.

Yes! We can offer them Quennville and a 3rd for Nuge. But Edmonton also waive Ty Rattie, on his final season at 800k, we could take a very low risk chance on the kid. We are desperate down the right, and he has done very well in the AHL, while never really playing much in the NHL.

Ok so no goalie and no idea if blackwood could handle consistent starts, darling hasn't been good

Our D is bad as it is but who the heck plays if we trade severson and or Greene

I fear it's going to be quiet or underwhelming at TD for the devils

They'll probably move mojo... maybe kinkaid... don't know about anyone else.

Embrace the tank and get as much trade value as possible. Which leads to...
1) Play Kinkaid to try and increase his value before the deadline,
2) Trade MoJo if he really isn't going to be a part of the future (or if he is, he is traded and resigned over the summer);
3) Trade Lovejoy;
4) Trade Boyle (unfortunate, I really like him and maybe he comes back?) - could get decent value;
5) Trade Stafford (his value is up right now and possibly a little more before the deadline, but prob not more then a 4th or 5th round pick);
6) Explore moving other players and/or at least play more youngsters to see what we got;
7) Play Yakovlev (maybe he gets some trade value bit doubtful).
