Bratt and Coleman are just absolute steals. Both those guys ran circles around Ducks all game. I couldn't understand how they both didn't play 20 minutes each.

Even though his save % wasn't good, I wouldn't fault him much on the goals. Sprongs was from right out front. TT on the PP with a good screen in front. And Grant on the terrific shot from the dot.

Devils to me lost this game because their PP was not good enough.

Feels like 2 seasons ago. Hated it then, hate it now. Want a good pick, just don't trust this staff in the first round so it needs to be top 3 so they can't blow it.

Bottom line is Shero watched this team get tossed around by TB last year in the playoffs and showed them how far they were from just being an actual contender let alone Stanley Cup champ and what did he do this off season...NOTHING....this team is full of young kids way too soft to compete in this league a fact even John Hynes admits...best bet is to trade everyone and start again..Boyle Johansen Lovejoy and even Andy Greene should be made available at deadline

Personally I dislike the idea of rentals. The deadline is all about that, and it is rare that a deadline deal is a contributor come playoffs. Statsny helped WPG alot, but they still came up short and lost a 1st. I would rather keep prospects, target UFA's, and continue to draft with all our picks. Ty Smith is gonna be huge going forward, Blackwood may be the answer, so we just need a top 6 RW, and C to have a real chance at the post season next year.

I get where people are coming from because this team is just unwatchable so they're pissed about it. But yeah, you got to stay the course with the rebuild. Not every draft pick is a hit and Shero's been finding some good stuff so far. If you get 2-3 roster players per draft then you're doing pretty solid, honestly. I agree with you about Smith, and that next year there is a good core of defenseman.

Forward group is really lacking but you can only hope that the young guys progress and that maybe Shero can get another steal or two through trades.

We need torts

It's Shero time. This past summer I thought Shero did a great job realizing he could not sign the top FA and did not waste money or term on the scraps. The prospects he has drafted, well lets say are taking longer than originally thought to develop. Time for him to use the excess cap space to get more assets for the rebuild. That does not mean trading players like Stafford for a third or later pick, you have to be incredibly lucky to rebuild that way. Mojo for a bad contract and a prospect is what I am thinking. I think Sami and Sevs are part of the future, but if you trade one you better get back a good asset. It is in Shero's hands at this point. The team and Hynes hopefully don't screw the draft positioning, rather they focus on development and let the chips fall where they may.
