I hope so too, I hated what happened, or, didn't happen here. What went on here in Tampa is a head scratcher to me. Good luck in the windy city, Slater.

Not a head scratcher to me. Koekkoek just couldn't crack the lineup over Coburn and Sergachev. KK is a true LD where as Coburn and Serg can play both sides. Then getting McDonagh sealed Koekkoek's fate with the team (77, 27, 55, 98 all in front of him). Cooper never trusted him in his own end and its with merit, the statistics show KK was not good in the dzone over the past few years.
I have met KK a couple times, great guy I hope he does well. He can skate and transition the puck decently, I think all his shoulder injuries really hindered his career. I think he can stick on a team over the next few years but I don't see him being anything more then a 5-7 Dman and thats only if he continues working on the dzone portion of his game.
