The flyers buzz is in full force - Alexzanki
Since your a CBJ fan let me ask your opinion. I was throwing around a trade idea earlier.... From a columbus prospective and knowing you want to compete this year and not lose Panarin and Bob for nothing would you do this?
To CBJ: Voracek, Simmonds, Jake Allen, 2019 Phi 2nd
To Philly: Panarin, Tarasenko
To STL: Bobrovsky, Conditional 2020 Flyers 1st, Conditional 2020 CBJ first |

Why on earth would the Sens want pieces for this year??
But for the sake of argument I'll bite
To PHI
M. Stone 7.35M
C. Anderson 4.75M
M. Lajoie 0.710M
3rd round pick 2020* (OTT owns CLB 3rd round pick 2020, PHI receives highest pick)
To OTT
N. Patrick 0.925M
J. Voracek 8.25M
I. Provorov 0.894M
M. Neuvirth 2.5M
1st round pick 2019
3rd round pick 2020* (becomes 2nd round pick if Stone resigns)
That name should go over well with Flyers fans. |

Why would you add Lehtera and Neuvirth, the Flyers have PLENTY of cap space where they don't need to dump them for 30 games. The team is not doing any favors for them by taking them.
On the other hand, Anderson and Ryan Ottawa needs to add to include them. No matter how many times you put Ryan in the top 6 for a lineup he will never be there, he takes Lehtera's spot on the 4th or scratched.
I wouldn't even trade you MacDonald, Lehtera and Neuvirth for Anderson and Ryan. Take them out. |

We need a someone temporary, just a decent guy that can split time with Hart. Bob will want a long deal. |

Not since Hart has been playing and they still have a prospect named Sandstrom who is a notch below Hart hopefully coming over to NA next year. So do they need a starter? No.
The real question is do they need a short term GOOD starter? Yes and Anderson is not that. |

You can actually develop a rationale for a team like the Flyers to use the trade deadline to grab talent for next year. Stone has been exceptional with the kids. He is a really strong character on and off the ice. The Flyers have some great young pieces and Stone would be a really good fit. But, it would be crazy for the Flyers to give up a 1st round pick and prospect at this point in their development.
A team like the Islanders, for example, are able to offer a mid round 1st, a good prospect and a roster player. I just don't see how the Flyers could structure a deal unless they involved a third team in the deal. - spatso
Stone was dynamic with the kids in that Uber in Phoenix. |

I would take Anderson as someone to split time with Hart. He isn't terrible, signed short term, and isnt Nuevirth. |

That's the problem, dude is so delusional that he really thinks Bobby Ryan is a top 6 winger. I wouldn't give Ottawa Dale Weise for Ryan (50% retained).
Then you have the 37 year old mummy with injury history and declined performance and he wants to sell him as a starter? (frank) you. Keep that to yourself |

Carey Price - 0.908 Sv% on a playoff contending team with Weber & Petry on the back end
Craig Anderson - 0.905 Sv% with an AHL/rookie filled D-core and a basement dwelling team
He's good

didn't know about Sandstrom -- all these guys are just names. Hart looks promising but #1 goalie in PHI....... desperately needed
Obviously the few who say Anderson isn't a good goalie don't watch him play. He had a crappy year last year - but he always does that, 1 good year and 1 bad. Numbers reflect that. |

Historically Anderson has had a very noticeable habit of being 'on' one year, 'off' the next - it's very obvious looking at his stats. Now consider this is supposed to be an 'on' year, and check where he's at right now.
Inclined to believe they should try to offload him to any interested party, because if (when) he goes into 'off' mode next year... yikes.

So with that in mind, we can expect Anderson to be bad next year? At 38 and his last year under contract? Good selling point, I'm sure Philly will be all over it |

When you say split time, you mean place on IR to take Neuvirth's spot, but pay almost twice as much for Anderson? |

Listen, Anderson would be a decent guy to split games with Hart I'll give you that. Ryan isn't a terrible player but he isn't worth even 70% of his contract. So you cant throw them into a deal and expect them to be valuable adds.
Add in that Duchene is UFA and you want our current top prospect (Frost) who is comparable to Giroux plus Konecny who is the closest thing we have to someone with speed that can shoot the puck and its not happening.... unless its for Duchene and Stone.

Any trade proposal that contains Provorov is hilarious.
A strong argument could be made for him being the most valuable asset on that team apart from their 1st round pick this year |
