The Calgary Flames are one # 1 goalie away from being IMO a cup contender and a dominant force in the pacific for a long time! Bob would be a solid fit in Calgary! Not sure what the Flames would give up but they at least got to be inquiring about him!
- NewfieStud

Rittich seems to be doing quite well. Obviously hasn't labeled himself a #1 goalie and who knows how he will perform in playoffs. But they should and probably will give him an opportunity before they start trading assets away for a goalie who has choked consistently come playoff time.

Good luck with that. I'm not buying the hype on this kid yet, given Philly's history with goalie development.
- Crushers68

It is wishful thinking, but he’s only 20. Flyers need to work with this kid and learn from there previous mistake surrounding goalies. Maybe 10+ years is an exaggeration, but not far off. Hart is going to be a stud, and hopefully well hated in Pittsburgh and New Jersey.

Hart has looked everything that he has been hyped to be for a 20 year old so far, sure the people who haven't actually watched him will look at his numbers and disagree. The problem is he is only 20, talking in absolutes is very dangerous for expectations. Rick Dipietro was also a sure fire stud goalie...take a look at his contract. Matt Murray has 2 cups and is a sure fire stud starter...have you seen his progress recently. Carey Price was a bust his first few years in the league then became the best goalie in the NHL and now to some considered overpriced and overrated. The NHL is a roller coaster.

Remember when Ekblad was easily top 5 defensemen in the league after 1 year...where are those people claiming that now? Who ever is considered great now, will most likely hit a down swing later.

You’re absolutely right, but one can dream. Also he seems to handle himself exceptionally well in front of the media. Which in this city is probably harder than actually playing the game. I’m not going to sit here and anoint him as the next Brodoure or Roy, but I like what I see so far. Stay positive and great things can happen.

I know we have Carter Hart waiting to take the reigns, but why not sign Bob to a 2 year deal. Then you can platoon he and Hart.
- CupOnBroadSt.

why would Bob sign for 2 years? he is going to look for a long term deal

so he gets disciplined by the team for something he did and all of a sudden he's on the trade block....

in all seriousness, Bob is going to be looking for term. You have Hart who has already played pretty well. Signing Bob long term would be basically doing the same thing you did to Bob with Bryz

I think that Florida could use him. They should be a far better team than they are at this point. Lu is hurt too often & showing his age. And well Reimer.....

I cant agree with you more. Tallen needs Bob. Adios Lu
