Why do we want to trade Keith? - Tatoo
Not sure we want to (although "he's old", "cap space", "taking up space for youngsters" are often cited).
I don't think you trade Keith unless he brings back an absolute haul. |

If I had to handicap it, He is not getting traded unless he asks for it since I don't think anyone would overpay for him (which is the one of the few reasons I would trade him).
Not likely, but an idea... being that he was messed with recently:
To Calgary:
Keith
To Chicago:
Frolik
You are welcome DarthKane. - Chunk
As much as I love Frolik (and I really do) I love Keith more. I know Keith isn’t the d-man he use to be but he’s still more than worth his cap hit. Keith has been every bit as important to the Hawks success as Toews and Kane. Keith should retire a Blackhawk. |

Could be wrong but I also believe that Vegas is exempt from exposing players in the expansion draft.
If true, not really a fan of that since Seattle is expected to start playing 4 years after Vegas has started. That seems like enough time for the Golden Knights to establish who their core is and be just as active in trades, free agency, and of course the draft as any other team.
Just 1-2 years between expansions, then that makes sense. But 4 years doesn't seem reasonable. - AEL_Fox
There draft exempt and also didn’t get any of the expansion fee |

Seabrook is out tonight due to illness (trade-itis?).
Jokiharju takes his place in the lineup. |

My opinion he does get traded to where thats the question but if bowman does not get what he wants then don't trade him. Bowman better have had a conversation with some core members and players about being possibly traded. But hawks need to keep keith or seabrook to mentor the d coming up just a thought. |

I would like to see them move ADB up to the Toews line and put Saad on the Kane line. Let Arty play on the third line with Kampf and Perlini - Chunk
At least until Perlini finds himself benched again. |

He's been our best defenseman, especially so for the past couple games. I'd put Joki next and our new shutdown pair right behind him. |

Frolik is redundant, especially for his cap hit |

As hockey fan first and Blackhawks fan second, I truly enjoyed seeing hard working outcasts team succeed in the league.Knights are succeeding due to fast style and hard work and they got no special favors.
Their team was coached with sharp contrast to Q and his maintenance days and teams overall 'lets save our energy for playoffs(supposedly) attitude. I hope Knights find continued success and build on their fan base in South. I might be in minority but I wish success to all Southern teams as this will lead to better growth of the sport and support base.
Colliton may not be deserving to be head coach and team not as talented but cannot deny they are trying hard, like Detroit of 2010-2015 years. - vshun
This is just not true, if you compare the Vegas rules to the ones from previous expansions, plus, Vegas came in alone, I believe all the other expansions were at least 2 teams, so the available pool was split.
Go back and look at some of those expansion rosters. I’d suggest the California Seals, original Atlanta Flames, etc. the available players were either NHL vets well past their ‘use by’ dates or career minor leagers. That’s why it took those teams so long to contend.
The Golden Knights received very favorable terms. Plus, in the 1st hard CAP expansion, the 3xisting teams were wheeling & dealing to protect players or flip contract. Vegas did a great job, but the league gave them an easier road than their predecessors. |

Definitely some bitter feelings, a lot of hits back and forth. Joki went after Hartman. I like the line changes so far. All 4 lines look good, and testing Rinne a lot and early.
1-0 Sissons. Of course when I say something good. |

Goal #1
Gustafsson turned the puck over, fell down behind the net, turned the puck over again, then failed to cover the goal scorer in the slot.
Yes, he’s keeper! (Red font) |

another Gust Gaffe ends up in the net. Turns it over and then caught watching. he needs to be a 70 pt dman to negate what he coughs up... |

Dammit, Kampf!! Breakaway to nothing. He should have tried to elevate instead of handcuffing himself. |

Kane watching from up high too - just kinda floating back in from the blue line. |

"No lifters" Kampf like always. He's probably had more breakaways than anybody this year and just can't learn to elevate his shots.
