Great December for the Penguins, hopefully this got everyone to back away from the cliff. Got to keep winning points. I'm sure the right trade opportunity will present itself to GMJR eventually. I'd prefer to keep our first round pick.

Gopher Phil helped Sid make 900 special. Another month or so and Sid will pass some dude named Mario to become the all-time pens games played leader.

Yep, the goal tending has been nothing short of spectacular. Murray looks like his old self which is a huge relief.

And if you are looking for a solid pick up being in a desperate position means you can get taken to the cleaners.

With the goaltending shored up and our forwards settling in, we might be a Justin Schultz away from being a legit good team again.

I would still love an upgrade at top six.

I'd still move Sheahan and one of our Dmen. Everyone would prefer JJ but most likely JO or Maatta.

Yes snag a LW for Geno if they really want Phil on the third line.

Yeah nobodys gonna want JJ. I suspect both JO and Roli Poli Oli to be gone by season end if not by the TDL

I don’t think Oli is going anywhere. Someone posted an article where people connected to the Pens just laugh when asked about moving him.

That makes me happy.

My guess is either Oleksiak or Riikola goes bye bye.

That was me. Mackey was on the radio and he said every time he mentions it to "people who would know", they laugh at him. Basically saying they don't even dignify the suggestion with a response.

It's a tough situation. It should be JJ, but he's immovable without giving up another good asset.

I’m a big Maatta fan and while I accepted at some point I thought he could get moved, I never wanted him moved.

It should be JJ, but it won’t be. It will be JO I think if they look to upgrade at forward or Riikola if it’s simply a roster decision.

If the Pens were still getting early-season goaltending, they would've easily lost that game and we would've been destroying them for the defensive lapses that led to the Staal, Zucker, and Brodin chances. Instead it feels like a solid road win

Cant you say that about literally any save the goalie makes?

Dumoulin is becoming a star. That cap hit looks amazing rn. Someone said target a LW, who’s available that you guys would want?

Getting Schultz back certainly will help going forward as it allows GMJR to trade a defenseman if everyone on the blue line remains healthy. Biggest issue going forward is getting Malkin back on track. Just not sure why his game seems off. They’ll need him if the Pens hope to make noise come playoff time.

I said to target a LW and I think we can move JO and Sheahan to do so. As to who we'll I'll take a look and see, but preferably a good shooter who gets to open space well. When Geno holds the puck to long typically it's because no one is open and mistakes start happening.

Small sample sizes Mr. Wilson....

Game 7 was a sub 30% outing.... remove the high and low outlier and they are north of 50% easily.

He seems to have crossed over a line of excellence. Overcame an injury? Who knows?

Blues Pietrangelo is apparently gonna be available... Does that mean he gets dealt... no but I’m told this will come out as early as next week. Pens are 1 of 2 teams with noted interest already. Pens and leafs are the only 2 teams I got told so far. Yes he has a NTC but sounds like he isn’t against waiving it to go to a playoff team.

I can’t even begin to come up with a package that would be considered good enough to be in a two horse race for someone who’s considered to be one of the top defensemen in the league.

LOL right?

Hallander, Addison, Jarry and their next three 1sts? hahahah

Not to mention they'd have to compel them to take JO and Sheahan.

Ditto. I can't possibly see the Penguins having the parts necessary to pull that off.
