The game was there to be had. I'm almost to the point where I'm calling Brady done, but gun to my head I can't do it, yet.
- Wetbandit1

Brady had 126 yards 0 TD's and 2 INT's

This was a game they could have won

No skilled players in the skilled positions

No running game what so ever

Couldn't stop the run.

No, the one where there was a miscommunication and Croom kept going up the field and Allen threw it quick out toward the sideline at the bottom of his drop.
- Wetbandit1

So it wasn't not accurate just a miscommunication which makes sense since Croom isn't exactly the go to guy for him.

Even the back shoulder throw that the announcers mentioned to Jones, Jones turned the wrong way.

There's a lot to like from Allen, not a lot to like from his "skilled guys"

Even Foster was off today not counting the ball he lost in the sun

There is no ONE reason, but one of the many that just drives me nuts is the constant change of coaches who then bring in a complete change of scheme that requires 2-3 offseasons/ drafts to acquire the necessary personnel to play the different scheme...then they get fired, and boom off to that different scheme again.
4-3, 3-4, 4-3, 3-4, 4-3, 3-4
West Coast, Stretch, West Coast, Stretch,
...and Ownership wonders wtf is going wrong

- IonSabres

It's because they hire awful coaches. Good coaches fit their scheme to the personnel here, not the other way around. How many schemes has Belichick run over the years? Probably every one.

Reinhart doesn't get an assist on Dahlin's goal last night, but he's the reason it went in, perfect screen on Gibson, then get out of the way at the last second.

They should just put "Dangerfield" on his nameplate.

Yeah, maybe, I only saw it the once live, but even if he made the break it looked like it may have been uncatchable. Either way, I think it was a bad game. He got lucky on another one he just threw up off his back foot on a scramble that fell harmlessly. But overall I think he's making less of those, even though he had 3 today, he looked like he could've had more but did something else instead.

I think, with time and talent he can be a good player so long as an offensive coordinator calls the game to Allen's strengths and not what the coordinator thinks should be called.

I just saw the highlights again. And they showed Dahlin's goal from a few angles and Reinhart played it perfectly. Reinhart is Hecht, but better. I would've said it regardless of his perceptions here. It was a great play that no one mentioned.

No.

Happy Saturnalia, today's the last day, so get your party on, shoot some craps, sacrifice a few pigs. Maybe skip the slavery part.

Josh Allen had his worst game. Couple of nice throws but a lot of really, really bad ones. I like how he's being more patient, but now he's being too patient and only looking for deep passes. But he'll learn, hopefully.

😀 good post

He wasn’t good. He also was a few plays being made from having a good start which could have changed everything.

He gets 0 help. 0.

Can anyone name a single play this year where a WR bailed him out or made a fantastic play like Edelman did today?

Allen is the entire offense. And he’s a rookie

It’s just so unfair to even analyze Allen.

He has 0 run game. It’s always 3rd and long.

There are way too many drops.

No great catches. Line sucks.

Just a tire fire

It was a screen. A good play, worthy of mention. If it were Elie, we wouldn't be talking about it at all.

This, is what bothers me about Reinhart.

Every, single, little thing he does is celebrated, yet when he can’t cash in and it costs us a game against Washington, or he hands Claude Giroux a goal on a PP, or doesn’t back check on Florida’s game winner, the same people can’t seem to point out those little things.

I don’t hate Reinhart, I just can’t stand his biggest fans (not you Bandit)

I don't think that's true, his 2 assists didn't really get mentioned in a positive way like "wow, that was a great pass!". They were fine, but nothing special. I think it's more of a philosophical thing. He's probably the best, unspectacular player in franchise history.

I rest my case. Holy poop.

Dude hasn’t topped 50 points yet. (I know he will this year)

Ever heard of Dave Andreychuk?

It’s also the same posters who ragged on a Eichel even though we were 3rd in the Atlantic becuase he had terrible luck and an abnormallly low shooting %. 5 goals in 25 games wasn’t enough for our $10M superstar that has Skinner on a 60 goal pace. But hey I’m glad that our former 2nd overall pick in his 4th season might finally put together a season of at least 51 points.

I like that Reinhart is doing well this year. I do. I *was* pissed because he (frank)ing sucked to start last year and this year.

But my god, it’s not like he’s dropping dimes like Eichel is to Skinner against Boston.

He’s just being a solid, smart player

I really like allen. Most likely his completion % will always to a tab but low.

He needs some weapons:
Draft a wr 6-9
Sign a free agent tight end
Sign 2 o linemen and draft another guy in the second.

Lose next week and trade down. Maybe get both guys with that early pick? Ot and wr

Yeah, and? He was like Vanek. They were both just plain good. I'm sure there were a few guys in the 80's who put up 50 on a regular basis that didn't do a lot, but adjusted for era, no, I don't think there was anyone who rarely, if ever, -I certainly can't think of one- makes a pretty play that gets as many points as he does.

Sam's best plays last night weren't the assists.

He stepped out from the right side of the goalie and tried to jam in short side. Nice play

He passed one across to dahlin - wide open - Sabres passed it 3 more times. The pp needs to shoot more.

The 1st assist was nice.
2nd one- secondary on an empty netter.......

I don't think there's a legit guy that high. Trade down. I like what I've seen from Croom for the most part, he's big and athletic and can catch.

That's my point, rarely do you go "wow, what a play by Reinhart!"(even from a fan of his) I did that on the screen last night, it was perfectly timed to get out of the way as the puck was going by to completely deny "Gibbons" a look, and had even more appreciation for it an hour ago when I saw it again.
