Reinhart doesn't get an assist on Dahlin's goal last night, but he's the reason it went in, perfect screen on Gibson, then get out of the way at the last second.

They should just put "Dangerfield" on his nameplate.

I wrote a verh similarnpost last night, almost word for word...but my tablet died just as I went to publish.
Therefore, I consider this the post of the year!

He wasn’t Vanek. He was a guy you’d never expect to score goals because he looked like he wasn’t skilled enough and was slow af. He had a decent shot and was a good playmaker. But he scored a ton of tips and deflections and was a smart player

Vanek was the most skilled player on the ice most of the time

What we're seeing from Skinner is what we could have seen with Vanek with a #1C. Vanek could have had 5-6 40g seasons with Eichel

I wanted Vanek gone towards the end. He would be absolutely dominant for periods of time and then just show a total lack of effort other times.

He was a superstar for about 40 games a year, and a perimeter player the other 40.

But I agree I wish he had a true 1c at times

According to someone, the Sabres had 2 top 20 centers.

Vanek and Pominville played their primes with Roy, Connolly, Ott, Adam and Hodgson.

They, like this version, needed a couple of players with truculence in the forward ranks.

And it’s quite an easy decision to not overpay him as of today.

He’s done nothing to date to show he’s a big time player.

He’s shown he’s a very good compliment to great players

The debate over Sam starts right around Nylander's deal. In all likelihood, Sam will be asking for more.

Good to see Boston lose today. Isles and Leafs winning though kind of sucked. Hoping the Sabres can make it two straight against the Blues on Thursday. Two matchups with the Bruins over the next two weeks will really spice up this Atlantic division race.

Especially if he pockets two straight 70+ point seasons.

I lost my championship by .7 points.

I had Gurley and Josh Gordon

One of the reasons I don't do fantasy sports is because real sports are aggravating enough - at least for us Buffalo sports fans. I don't need fantasy sports making it worse.

We clearly have a #1 cb in tre white

We need a receiver to go with our franchise qb.

- Boss34

Of course we need offense,
but the defense still needs work too

Best player available will probably be a pass rusher, which we do need

There’s no WR worth taking top10
We could trade down i suppose
Idk the actual stats on it,
but it seems that later 1st round WRs tend to bust pretty frequently
It just not a good year to go WR in the 1st

This, is what bothers me about Reinhart.

Every, single, little thing he does is celebrated, yet when he can’t cash in and it costs us a game against Washington, or he hands Claude Giroux a goal on a PP, or doesn’t back check on Florida’s game winner, the same people can’t seem to point out those little things.

I don’t hate Reinhart, I just can’t stand his biggest fans (not you Bandit)

Sorry, accidental flag.

They did it backwards, get the offense going, and then do the defense. At least with a good offense that'll win you a bunch of games on that alone and at least keep you in games while the defense gets up to speed.

I like that Reinhart is doing well this year. I do. I *was* pissed because he (frank)ing sucked to start last year and this year.

But my god, it’s not like he’s dropping dimes like Eichel is to Skinner against Boston.

He’s just being a solid, smart player

- sbroads24

U sure waste A LOT of time HATING on someone u describe as a “solid, smart player”

That makes TONS of sense
