Team source tells me Rick Jeanneret’s family is “feeling relieved” after feedback from hospital. Sounding like good news. #sabres

Awesome guy, and one of the best at what he does! I hope he makes a full recovery. I live in Florida but have his voice blasting loud in my house every day. He does the commentary on my Super Chex bubble hockey game.` Would not be the same without him.

Personally I am glad he didn't.

More important to try to get our secondary scoring going than to pad the stats of the top line guys.

That's probably why Jack passed it off. Smart move.

Great blog. Glad to hear RJ is doing OK. I have been listening to him since his first season broadcasting Sabres games. I guess that makes me kind of old.

Jack’s dish on the empty netter is pure leadership

We’re 4th in the conference and 6th in the League at the Christmas break.

We’ve been thru Darcy’s suffering, and now we’re back. R.J. was stretchered off, but he is “still kicking.” The world will be right when that man calls playoff hockey again, and this crusty old MFer will cry like a baby if he gets to call the game when we win the Cup.

I think we’re going to be good. Root now!

I was just on NHL.com and no love for Ullmark on the headlines, but they made sure Murray got his shut out headline. No respect.

Just watched the highlights again. Man Thompson has an absolute BULLET of a shot when he T's up a one-timer. I'd like to see him use it on the PP more.

It’s going to be nice when they start going in again, which they will. He was close on two and almost had a breakaway. And that’s playing with our defensive line

Man I am impressed with his turnaround. The points aren’t there yet but the game has done a 180 since the start of the year.

Was the best shot differential player on the Sabres last night

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The longtime voice of the Buffalo Sabres hasn't been silenced after being wheeled out of the press box on a stretcher.

Rick Jeanneret is "resting and doing well," the Sabres announced Sunday, about 12 hours after the Hall of Fame broadcaster was transported to the hospital during the third period of Buffalo's victory over the Anaheim Ducks.

And, the team added, the 76-year-old Jeanneret already is looking forward to returning to the broadcast booth following the NHL's three-day Christmas break.
