Another great article Jay. One has to wonder whether a mid season trade for a goalie will happen, which seems to be an obvious first move by Fletcher, but also not so straight forward, as the candidates for a goalie to trade for all have warts and costs they may not want to pay. Even if they rally to grab a playoff spot, going down in flames in the first round is the most predictable outcome.
I do like your perspective on Hart coming in here at this juncture. The cliche is he’ll be ruined by exposure to the current circus of awful team D. Which like you state so well, is nonsense.
Many thanks for your sane perspective. |

Hope you’re right, Jay!! This year has been chaotic clusterf*ck from the beginning. Every time we think it can’t get any worse, it does. Let hope this the bottom, they don’t make any panic moves, and it turns in the right direction fast!! |

Good read, proper perspective
I know forwards and goalies are very different... but Carter Hart is at the same point in his development that Giroux was when he made the Flyers full time
Some goalies put up better stats in the NHL than the AHL, here's hoping Carter Farter is one of them (wouldn't be a huge surprise) |

The coach is fired....
JvR magically rid himself of cement skates, not just with skating and effort, but also the willingness to create.
Patrick looked more confident and poised.
Provorov miraculously learned how to stick handle again, no long stick needed tonight.
Ghost looked like the rabbit rover of days past, looked like he didn't forget how to shoot on net.
A team looking like they were playing three different games at once somehow learned to play together after one practice.
It's only one game, but the message is extremely clear. |
