seriously if there is one problem we have had around here this year is that everyone on the blueline has been an absolute (frank) fest in their own zone this year and we are going to freak out about a 20 year old defenseman focusing on defense in the first 30 games or so in his first pro season?

we have two young offensive minded right handed defensemen who absolutely cannot get out of their own way in their own zone in Pionk and DeAngelo, ultimately Hajek may be a great partner on the left side for either one of them

and then you add young guys like Gilmour and Day to the mix, they can't play defense

so we are going to look at Hajek as a failure already because he hasn't put up points yet?

I still believe both Howden and Hajek gonna wear Blue and play ~middle6/ 2nd pair.
