The player has to agree to the deal first...why would Point accept that when he will be looking for more and if it was 6.5M, why wouldn't Tampa accept that right away? - Glak18
Okay then. 7 years at $8.1M. And yes, he'd have to accept, assuming he gets to July 1st unsigned. |

No to offer sheets unless you're talking about a generational player. |

Nopa needs to start stepping his poop up. Getting frustrating watching him do nothing. - Buzzo
Fletch needs to get a 2C and stop putting the pressure on Patrick to be one right now. He obviously needs time to develop, which is fine by me. He's 20. |

Reality is kicking in. The trade market is prohibitive. The same thing Hextall knew, Fletcher is finding out. - MJL
I'm sure Fletcher was well aware of that. I'm guessing it's Scott who is starting to realize that maybe it wasn't that Hextall wouldn't make a move, but rather there isn't a move to make that will significantly help the team right now. |

I think everyone assumed that at the very least, JVR would help make the PP convert more. Hummmm....And here we are. - NC Flyers Fan
I wish I could say I'm disappointed in JVR's performance thus far but I can't. I didn't expect much from him and he's delivering on that expectation. |

At least there will be no "Fire Hakstol" chants (or "Fire Hextall" ones, not that you can distinguish between them) tonight. I'd love to watch a game where the home team wasn't booed, too. But maybe that's hoping for too much. - bodiva88
Maybe you should become a Leafs fan. All their players are worth multiple 1st rounders. |

I made the first comment yesterday in years. My typing consists of intense labor and perhaps little thought due to a neurological problem. It was lengthy and consumed some time.
In it I mention of how I had arrived to the level of disappointment concerning the team, which was POSSIBLY, altering how I would respond logically to essentially an emotional bonding. It was looking like a failed marriage to me and I needed to do a re-evaluation as to what was next. Leaving this loyalty modality after 51 years was painful.
I posted it, after manfully (Do they have PC term?) struggling, at 1:26 PM on the 13th page of comments.
I think the firing was public at 1:28 PM.
Fear me!!! |

Wanted more info on Gordon and Wikipedia came up. He may be the "perfect" coach for the Flyers. Look at those goalie stats!!
Gordon also made his NHL debut in the 1989–90 season with the Nordiques. He played his first game on January 30, 1990, as he took the loss in a 5–2 defeat against the Buffalo Sabres. After losing his first four games in the NHL, Gordon recorded his first victory, as on February 6, 1990, he made 26 saves in a 5–3 victory over the Vancouver Canucks. Overall, Gordon was 2–8–0 with a 5.33 GAA and .856 save percentage in ten games for the Nordiques. Gordon also became the first ever former ECHL player to appear in the NHL.[3]
Gordon began the 1990–91 season with the Nordiques, where in 13 games, he had a record of 0–8–0 with a 5.94 GAA and .787 save percentage. |

Idk about a 2c as I wouldnt want someone on a long term contract at that spot. If you can get a duchene ? Yes. If not give me a more fringe 2c/3c in Coyle or anisimov who wont cost nearly as much and wont require the same term. I keep coming back to Coyle cause hes just a hard working young player who can play all throughout the lineup. |

Have to wonder if with Hexy gone if he isn't a piece they would include at the TDL. |

It's unfortunate that tonight is "Free Batteries and Snowballs" night at the game.
Just horrible timing. |

Please stop playing Simmonds on his off side.
It's nutty to play him at 2LW when you have an actual 2LW in JVR. |
