Nopa needs to start stepping his poop up. Getting frustrating watching him do nothing.
- Buzzo

I agree. I'm looking forward to him playing with Lindblom again as well as TK. That has the potential to be an exciting line if they keep them together. I really think he started to struggle when they split him and Lindblom. Fingers crossed. Bottom line is he needs to start producing.

The point of giving an offersheet is so the team "cant" match it, which would mean giving up 4 firsts.

However, I would talk to Tampa about becoming a dumping ground for some of thier contracts they cant afford anymore... Stamkos, Kucherov, McDonagh, Johnson..... if they want to keep Point something has to go, and someone has to benefit from it... We can offer decent prospects that will make it less painful. I wouldnt mind giving up frost for Stamkos or Kucherov.....

I'd offer him 7 years at $6.5M. That's a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.

Is Hart confirmed to start?
- Buzzo

Rumors yesterday said he would.

It’s like a breath of fresh air around this team. I expect them to still suck for this year, but just knowing the regime was finally toppled. Man, good times.

Can they?

You can offer up to about $8M without giving up multiple 1sts, I think.

I know Hart coming up is not ideal. But maybe it gives this team and new feeling. Also I can't imagine the first guy who take a late poke at Hart doesn't get punished by someone on the ice.

this team needs something to come together behind.

Here's what it is this year:

$1,339,575 or less.........No compensation
$1,339,576 to $2,029,659............Third-round pick
$2,029,660 to $4,059,322.............Second-round pick
$4,059,323 to $6,088,980.............First and third-round picks
$6,088,981 to $8,118,641.............First, second and third-round picks
$8,118,642 to $10,148,302............Two firsts, a second and third-round picks
Over $10,148,302...............Four first-round picks

Next year will go up a little.

And also keep in mind if you go over 5 years, it's still the total amount divided by 5. Yeah, weird, I know.

Haha they will match that immediately and trade whoever they need to. Come on. That would be doing them a favor.

There's a couple of blue lines.

The centre line.

Two goal lines.

Some other lines for the face-off circles.

What an odd question.

Lmao what? this same stupid statement can be applied to our PK... Which sucks if you weren't aware. Books been out on Caps PP for years, seems to still work just fine.

Exactly my point. People already have predetermined opinions based on moves that haven't happened YET.

Why does the Caps PP still work but ours does not? Please help me comprehend. IMO i think it's just execution and has a lot to do with Ghost sucking, he can't hit the net, and he has made bad decisions on when to shoot. Obviously not all on him but he is struggling this season, on the PP and off.

The player has to agree to the deal first...why would Point accept that when he will be looking for more and if it was 6.5M, why wouldn't Tampa accept that right away?

Again, you didn't comprehend what I said and called it a stupid statement when I was basically alluding to what you said here. LOL

I am in no absolving the players here. They are a huge problem. But I do wonder if there was something going on or a huge disconnect between coach/management and team.

Yesterday when they interviewed players it almost seemed like a sense of relief. I don't know. Maybe I am reading things wrong. But just something wasn't adding up.

- J35Bacher

I saw relief as well. To me it looked like, ha ha ha no one was traded! Sorry you took the fall, but I get to keep my buddies and fight another day.

At least there will be no "Fire Hakstol" chants (or "Fire Hextall" ones, not that you can distinguish between them) tonight. I'd love to watch a game where the home team wasn't booed, too. But maybe that's hoping for too much.
