Really not sure the point of trading Seabrook for Lucic. Can someone enlighten me as to how this helps the team short and/or long term? Really, neither provide any real usefulness anymore, both are slow, both have albatross contracts. |

If anything, I would be looking at the shorter term for Lucic as the benefit. Spit ballin - z1990z
Yeah it would be nice to get out from under that contract faster for sure. I think there will be other solutions, up to and including the next CBA. |

He could be another Dylan Strome type in terms of the team not wanting to wait any longer, but not sure if he is gonna pan out. Tough to place an exact value on the parts of a trade in this case IMO. - breadbag
Yeah. Puljujarvi has looked like a stud at times, and completely lost at other times. He is a very big kid though and they tend to take longer to get up to speed, so if I was Chiarelli I'd be waiting at least another year or two to see if he finds his game consistently. |

Very interesting indeed. I'd love to see a guy like Puljujarvi, who the writer mentioned Oilers fans are impatient with. Maybe Chiarelli gives him up for Keith? - Hawks_49
Look at the talent Charelli has basically given away, Hall, Seguin, and Hamilton. The one good trade he made, Kessel for Toronto's two lottery unprotected firsts, he ruined when he gave Seguin and Hamilton away. Maybe Charelli is tiring of McDavid? |

Term as far as what Lucic has left on his deal. Toughness which this team has 0 of. And we dont have Seabrook's deal to comment about anymore. |

Red font here:
This is the hidden gem of the deal. We could all rip apart Lucic because he's done nothing for us and go back to loving Seabrook for all that he did for the Hawks. |

Three Cups DID have a lot to do with it.
So did being in the third largest market in the country - and having the business people around who could develop that market.
So did owning half of the building.
So did the corporate promotions and game-day promotions and merchandising promotions and market development promotions and....
You guys think that all you have to do is throw the puck out on the ice and the fans come flocking in.
You also have to develop the revenue streams that continue during the down times - otherwise it's always boom and bust.
Well, we'll see if McD and his group have been able to do that during the next several down seasons. My guess is that they have. - StLBravesFan[/quote
LOL. You think revenue streams are going to make up the actual short fall for not winning? They won't even come close.

Yes, we have free speech, and with this commit you have proved what is wrong with your manner of thought. Until you donate your time for a cause like I do (which I point out is a volunteer position) I would ask you kindly to insult people without referring to them with the kids and adults I work with.
However, if you really want to have it out, I would be glad to. I guarantee with your adolescent frame of thought, it will not look good for you........dweeb - spudrock512
Lmao cry me a river you little girl. Give it your best shot since you already need a lesson on how to spell comment , not commit. You whiney sack of useless poop |

No politics here man!! Stick to hockey, which you are very well versed. Not that you're not in politics, but this is a hockey chat. - nickmo2699
Very well versed? Have you seen his trade proposals?
Oh, and California isn't bankrupt. Jerry Brown has done a pretty good job of righting the ship after the Terminator nearly put the state into bankruptcy. |

I despise them and their I am superior to you thinking and no what's best policies. Look at California, Illinois and new york all run by democrats whom have bankrupted those states, driven poverty and crime up and are more worried about protecting ILLEGAL ALIENS over American citizens and Vets. - Taylorst1

Good move. Give the kid an opportunity to be a big time contributor for his country.
Forsling getting back is great. He has looked very good so far. |

You realize both Lucic and Chara were on the Bruin's roster the night Mike Richards ended Marc Savard's career? No player can deter anything, maybe they can beat someone up after the fact but as far as I remember Lucic never confronted Richards for it. - paulr
Matt Cooke? Or Mike Richards? I thought it was the headshot from Cooke that ended him. |
