I guess you don’t understand the definition of “doing better” when it comes to replies especially when you use the same line that people have been saying for a while now....you sure got us there tho well done - RatedR80
Thanks for fun over-reaction to losing to such a sh*tty team like the Canucks.
At the end of his career, McDavid will say that Tampa Bay Lightning were his favourite team to play for. |

I over reacted? Where did I over react? In fact I’m certain that I said we lost because of our PK....can’t give up 3 PP goal and expect to win and I actually didn’t say anything about your team....my issue is with the fanbase.....if need be I can dumb this down even further for you if you can’t understand what I’m saying.....the McDavid comment just shows you can’t come up with anything good but given the source I’ll just have to take what I can get

Mickey Mouse club is very appropriate for the Vancouver Canucks. Aren't they the franchise that has the most seasons without a championship? in ALL OF PRO SPORTS! haha like 48yrs?
now...just when the lowly Canucks fans start to shed their "most hockey-uneducated and loud mouthed fanbase" stigma a bit, with a really impressive group of young future stars on the team now...some moron comes in and pulls the franchise stigma right back down. What is it with you Canucks fans? I'm serious, you are like stupidity addicts that can't leave well enough alone. Your team is finally looking okay, but nope...let's get all combative and throw ridiculous statements around and start dumb debates about things that have NO bearing whatsoever.
Even the TV announcers are trash, comparing heavy-Petterson to McDavid...TO GRETZKY!?!?!! Wow.
Your team sucks, it has always sucked, and the fans have no clue. I have only been in one rink across the league where the fans booed the home team for ragging the puck while shorthanded...it was in Van.
There is NO rivalry with Calgary, there is NO rivalry with Edmonton, the rivalry IS CALGARY vs EDMONTON, period. Vancouver isn't in the conversation, never was.
I just don't understand Canucks fans...you're like the dude that brags about his chunky, ugly girlfriend. She's not pretty dude, just love her on your own and don't talk about it in public...we can all see her and we all know what she looks like...and she's looked that way since 1970! - JLO961

Wow. The Canucks owned the Oilers yesterday. On the scoreboard and on the ice. Funny how Lucic goes after the small guys and leaves Gudbranson and Virtanen alone. Well done, Edmonton. |

Nice to see Hitch standing up for poor Connor. What a travesty that he was neutralized, but then again Bo is quickly becoming an elite defensive forward.
I give it one more year before McDavid requests a trade. Chiarelli should be able to get a decent defenseman for him, no? |

Bo certainly is an exceptional player, but he didn't neutralize Connor. It's like back when you guys thought Cole Cassels was the next big thing because he shaved MAYBE 3 points off Connor's pace in a playoff series. Don't flatter yourselves.
No one is contending that your boys didn't deserve the win; they did. A strong and structured effort (props to Green), but as you guys admit yourselves, the Sedins had this treatment happen to them for years and you all complained about it then. It's absolutely hypocritical for you to not stay consistent (Nucker being the exception). Shows some of you guys are as intellectually bankrupt as the city of Edmonton is culturally bankrupt. |

The Sedins just adjusted the way they played, and only Burke complained. The twins could have fought back a little more in their time though. The Oilers weren't exactly playing clean last night either. Puljarvvi was doling out the slewfoots pretty thick. |

Burke is the ONLY one who complained? Talk about delusion! Sure it peaked in the Cup Finals and became less pronounced as hope died, but to suggest it was only Burke is pathetically wrong. Maybe you weren't party to it (given your account starting in 2017), but the Vantels, Marwoods and thunderfemale genitalias of the world were definitely involved.
As for the "slew foot", Pettey grabbed Jesse's arm and toppled over. What was that I read over in your thread about him "fighting through it"? |

Out of all of this, my favourite is that you're implying people in Vancouver are stupid and not in Edmonton
I just picture rig pigs at those games drawing up strategy on the whiteboard and talking stats and it's the best image ever. Thanks! - neem55
Nope, I only said that Canucks fans tend to not know the game as well as other cities, which I admit is a generalization, but a fairly accurate observation based on my personal experiences. On the other hand, you are the one that just made a very judgmental comment about a group of people...which is precisely what progressives on the left coast do. Thanks for validating the stereotype again.
p.s. my favourite part was the "heavy-Petersson" part.

In other news it’s taken all of two games for Jones to make Hitch a fan of his....he said Jones could end up being a special player and Hitch doesn’t strike me as the sugar coating type of guy |

Interesting note on Jones, he and Gravel tracked as 22-2 in Corsi events for/against and 11-1 in actual on-ice shots registered. Didn't materialize into any goals, but that's a pretty impressive step towards winning an NHL spot! I stand by my statement from last summer/preseason where I said I think Jones will have a better NHL career than Bear. |

It’s looking like a safe bet that Jones > Bear but I’ll give Bear more time although it will be more difficult for him I think.....I know Koskenin is the biggest surprise so far but Gravel is right up there with his play....as I have said I’m excited about our future blueline there is potential there
