What do you think about the Jackets offering a package for Tarasenko ?
If I were Jarmo I would go after Tarasenko. Start with Milano (former 1st rd pick that needs a scenery change; other parts of the package: 1 of Bjorkstrand/Anderson/Jenner; CBJ 2019 1st rd pick (Blues don't have one in 2019); but the blues would have to give their 2019 2nd rd pick - CBJ doesn't have their's, so the Jackets may have to include something else. Getting Tarasenko would serve several benefits: 1) bring another building block, he's signed @ $7.5M for the next 4 years; add a finisher that the CBJ desperately need; be insurance if/when Panarin leaves - but Vlad & Bread are also best friends - so it might encourage Bread to stay. So you'd have an offensive core of Panarin, Tarasenko, Atkinson, DuBois for the next several years; with Jones & Werenski on D.
The Jackets could handle the cap situation, even with Panarin, Werenski, etc. I don't believe the CBJ will sign Bob at what he is asking. He's been more inconsistent this season, and they have a good pipeline of goalies coming within a couple of years.
