Here's what the bottom-six looked like last game against Philadelphia:

Vladimir Sobotka-Evan Rodrigues-Okposo
Patrik Berglund-Johan Larsson-Tage Thompson

Here's what he used today:

Thompson-Sobotka-Pominville
Rodrigues-Larsson-Zemgus Girgensons/Berglund

I'd keep Thompson, Erod and Pominville. As for Elie and the rest, trade one 1 or more if they have any value and waive the rest. They're replacement level or below.

They would clear waivers. Then call up some youngins. If it doesn't work, nothing of value was lost, bring some of these guys back

I wouldn't call this season magical at all.

I'd call it improvement.

They are still dominated more than they control play and are trending in the wrong direction.

the 10 game streak was nice, but if Skinner nor Eichel aren't scoring, nobody else on this team is.

There is still a lot of work left to do to make this team a contender.

Hole Sh!t you people are franking cynical.. Does everyone here realize that we were in LAST place last year and as of right now we are 6th place in the LEAGUE? Yes we are a flawed team, yes we need more scoring, yes Sam was a #2 overall pick and is only a 50-60 pt player, but damn you people make it sound like we are still in the basement. I would much rather watch close exciting hockey then the poop show I have been watching the last 10 years.

Olofsson and Smith are older than Eichel

Looking at it though, i'd swap Thompson and smith

Yeah but neither has played an nhl game, would you really want that line out on the ice up in Toronto? Or in Boston, or 20 other cities? It would guarantee you seeing the other teams top line. Thompson makes this only very slightly better. It not a knock on them, i’m Hoping they turn into good players for us, just don’t think it happens this year, and not on one line.

Maybe I’m drinking too much Kool-Aid but this team is special you can see the improvement every game once the other lines start clicking they will be unstoppable

This is a magical you’re just sit back and relax and these are stories you’re gonna tell your grandkids or kids some day that you were part of history

Pretty sure it wasn’t a 7th round, undrafted, and a first round pick. On that line... get real

I’d try bumping Skinner & Reinhart (or at least Skinner) down to play with Mitts before i did something as drastic as u propose

Having a rookie line is interesting because they should get taken lightly by other teams and could surprise a lot of people and take off

But there’s always a possibility that it might just blow up in your face

That’s the thing though,
the other lines haven’t been clicking
Not on the scoreboard anyways
And definitely not consistently
