Yeah he may choose Toronto. He may also choose Boston. In his case I think he picks.

I said Pietrangelo, he quoted me, I replied to him, you quoted that reply talking about Tampa Bay and the Leafs (referring to Stralman?). Both are injured right now. I just want us to be on the same page about who we're all talking about.

I'd say no chance Tampa Bay moves a defenseman to Toronto and a decent chance St. Louis considers moving Pietrangelo given their place in the standings, their willingness to move vets at the deadline (Shattenkirk and Statsny) and the possibility that they can't re-sign Pietrangelo so they might start rebuilding and move him.

You guys need trevor Daley in a bad way. You actually need nick Jensen but I like him and he only costs 800,000. So I think trevor Daley is who you’ll get..

Jensen is not bad at all, and probably even more valuable in the PO's.
Potentially huge for the Leafs in a deep run!

35 year old at 3.1 AAV?

Pass.

Glendening seems like a good, versatile 4th liner. Kind of a steep cap hit. I'd take him at 1.25 though.

I personally don't like the idea of adding Kronwall or Nyqvist but I could see the Leafs targeting them.

Yeah. Jensen is good. That’s why I’ll be pissed if they trade him for poor value. Trevor Daley though...

At this stage, it's a f'n miracle that the mighty Kronwall is skating at all...
However, if he's still up for it I'd let go a 3rd for his services in the PO's!

109 playoff games of experience and 37 years old. If the Leafs got him, it'd be a throw back to the late 90s, early 2000s when the Leafs would grab any has been for a middle round pick or a prospect. I don't mind signing those guys as depth UFAs, because they cost you nothing, but those moves at the deadline are asset killers.

I could see Babcock playing Kronwall 22 minutes a night too because he was a good pro 10 years ago. If he plays Hainsey that much, you could almost guarantee he'd run Kronwall even harder.

I played a little ice hockey tonight. I played right wing but I was the equivalent of sparks on his 3rd and 4th goal against. An absolute disaster.

I should probably sharpen my skates more then once a year in my defence though.

Sounds like you're contradicting yourself, a couple times..., just to make sure nobody can catch you one way or the other...!

Maybe time to let go of this 'game' and just give your valuable opinions...

Well, given that you're an intelligent guy - you should be more than capable of finding that answer for yourself in your post (s).
No need for us to go back and forth on this subject. We don't really have a need to find a winner, do we...?

You have a good night now.

Buffalo is looking better than the abortion they have been but they're not there yet. A nice win streak and all but there is a pile of luck involved when you win 10 games by a combined 9 goal differential. That much is clear.

They'll be better in a couple of years but they'll likely fall back to a wildcard spot this year.

This. Also Toronto's defense is not bad. They play a high powered offensive game which will lead to the other teams getting chances.

Can’t take teams for granted...I’m glad they proved they figured that out in the 3rd.

But poop happens, the Canucks beat the Preds 5-3 last night....good teams take nights off when they shouldn’t sometime.
