Yeah, even after his first year, I at the least felt a bit worried about that contract. If he'd improved, it might've been a good deal, but he hasn't really improved.

And it's not like he was some flashy rookie 20 year old that oozed talent that you just knew would improve, so why give him a deal where he needs to get better for it to be a good contract?

- Thecakeisalie

No player, with his numbers, should get a contract that big with that much term. If they were hoping for "improvement" or "potential", a 3 or 4 year deal would have been just as good. Now it's an anchor.

Sorry but your team isn't a good one and you're playing a back-up too.

Or Washington. Dumb Wilson would terrorize them.

The toughest guy on that roster is Babcock

That's what I'm talking about. If he wasn't beating you with his fists he was doing it on the scoreboard. Lots of nights he did both.

Wait, do you think that it was anybody but Lou who made that call?

Clearly you don't understand how Lou operates.

- lumlums

man, dont get him started...

its becoming very draining watching fellow normal people airing-out their disagreements with UG..

you got him. he's wrong. theres a finite amount of time on this planet, far too much has been spent skipping over pages and pages of rabbling..

PS: im not singling out Lums, all of you (including me) has a duty to make this a better place.

I agree. Like I said, the only way it would've been a good deal was if he really improved, and he hasn't. I don't think he's that young or anything and he's had time to acclimate to our ice, so I think the player he is now is basically what he'll be going forward. Which isn't a player deserving of his contract. Sucks.

I hear you. They don't make them like that anymore. There's only a handful of guys around who play like that and most of them are finished by 30. A guy like Simmons for example would seem like a good idea but those are hard years on his body. Would be nice to draft a guy like that though. It's a shame none of the "truculent" players Burke drafted turned out. Would be nice to have one that panned out right now.

Kadri can hit, Hyman is more of a puck pursuer. Neither really scares anyone with the fisticuffs.

I'm surprised to see them pack it in so early with all that talent. Looks like they're taking the rest of the night off. Not good. There's a lot of game left. No pusbback. Oof

Maybe Nylander for Marcus Foligno? He's fit the bill and Minnesota could use some skill

Clearly, you don't understand that there were many people involved in that front office including Shanahan who is above him. They all share some type of blame for that signing.

Honestly if Anderson was in, this game wouldn't probably be a 1 goal game.

Clark was #1 pick he could play. There has been a handful of players like him in the league in the past 40 years.

Maybe shanny also.

Yeah, I used to find it mildly entertaining, but it's just a waste of time now. The novelty has worn off. What is the point in trying to have a discussion with the human equivalent of a brick wall? There is no discourse. You might as well beat your head on a real wall than to try and argue with UG. You'll get the same results.
