Problem is do we really want to give up significant assets for a potential rental? I dont see this season going anywhere. Just sign him to a Parise contract in the off season. - Tfaehner
In my previous post I said it would be dependent upon a handshake deal in place with an extension in place before finalizing the deal.
Waiting til the off-season is certainly a possibility as well. |

He is quirky, but at least he isn't arrogant like Barkann. |

Don’t like starting Coots and Provy to begin the OT. Roll out G, Jake and Ghost and go for the (frank)ing win. - BiggE

I can't take much more of Colby Cohen. The only thing worse than a non hockey guy like Barkann negging on everyone is a hockey player that couldn't cut in the NHL doing it. |

Rather have him in the off season. For all Jake's flaws if I'm trading him it's not for an expiring contract. We have plenty of cap under correct projections. Keep them both. Fix one problem without opening up another. |

I don’t get it. Jake G and Ghost were so dominant at 3 on 3. Don’t get why we don’t start with that. Plus, G is superb on face offs. |

I figure the Flyers just have to go 35-16-5 the rest of the season to make the playoffs... - Glak18

To get them away from Jones. Flyers had control of the puck.

I hate criticizing Couturier but you have all that open ice. No reason to try and make a bank pass off the boards in tight space like that. We always laud Couturier's hockey sense for good reason but it was MIA there.

Overall they played a competitive game, it is better than the garbage a few weeks ago. Let’s see how they do against the sabres |

Overall? No they really didn't. They were competitive for one period. They had little offensive push after the Giroux goal through the 2nd period.

Competitive compared to their overall body of work this year and factor in 1 game in 8 days. The first period they handled the puck like a hot potato. Plus the 5 penalties did not allow much push but to my surprise the PK was real good, competitive is just not offense.
I think Stollie is really making a case for himself. |

They weren't competitive enough in the first two periods. No matter how you want to define it. What do you think leads to taking so many penalties and spending all that time shorthanded?
