See how much pressure the Flyers get when they get the puck inside the high slot area, instead of constantly shooting from the point? |

Not a good period overall. Columbus carried the play far to much. |

That is fair. The hypothetical idea being that he could potentially be dealt via similar sign and trade to another team since Columbus would be actively looking to recoup value on a bolting asset and would involve him in the process. Would it be plausible to sign him without moving Jake in a separate deal? - stayinthefnnet
Love Panarin but to give up that much I don't think he's the guy that's going to magically solve our issues.
I would give that up for a young, absolute stud D man or Selke caliber center. |

Started off strong and had a good final shift. In between not so much except for killing off both penalties. Need more than a handful of shots. |

Unless it was for PR...Panarin pretty much said who he will play for or sign with. If your not on an ocean then that means that team isn't it. - Glak18
Oh wow I knew he was gonna be peculiar but I didn’t know he had already declared it coast or bust. |

Don’t hold me to this I’m guessing, but Depending on what our RFAs make (TK, Provy, Sanheim) and what Laughton signs for, if we moved Simmonds and the cap goes up the reported amount, I think we could afford both Jake and Panarin. - arichardson22
After all RFAs, I would guess around 18-20 million + (cap increase).
If Stolarz gets the backup...that means the Flyers have roughly 21-23 million to fill 3-4 forward spots, 1 D and 1 G.
Yes, they will have no problem adding Panarin depending on how much they spend on a Starter. |

Definitely isn’t cheap. I do think highly of Panarin, I just didn’t know how much people were slowly souring on Jake overall to where they’d be willing to pony up for the margin in upgrade |

Having top six guys still on ELCs in Patrick and Tk does wonders

Pretty sure 3 main teams were listed...NYR, FLA and a West Coast team (LA?) |

TK is a RFA this year, Patrick, Lindblom and Hagg are the only RFAs next year that will probably be getting a decent raise. |

A little flat for too many stretches that period....but 5 days off....need to come out and take control of the 2nd period.
Bad first goal, but I thought Stollie made some good saves after that.... no more of those tonight. |

I really think they should shop Jake for a center and move Patrick down to 3C. I think they're expecting a little too much of him right now. |

How you win in today’s nhl.
Or you can ship your only offensive prospect for nothing. That works too |

Jake isn’t a perfect player but his amount of tangible point production isn’t anything to scoff at. I don’t know what a good realistic one for one would be. You don’t want to go too old obviously, but you don’t want to permanently block Patrick from that two hole for the next four plus years either, |

Agreed. Someone who could transition over to wing once Patrick takes the next step would definitely be something I'd be considering. |

Most teams take that next step when they have overperforming ELC working for them. Next couple years Flyers will be signing some of them to their first standard contracts, hopefully bridges, but that means Frost, Farabee, Hart, Sandstrom, Myers and Morin will all still be on cheap contracts 3-5 years from now. |

Yeah exactly. Have your one or two studs being paid face value, supplemented by overperforming elcs. It’s hard to do it any other way. They’re well set up. Fortunately from my perspective giroux should slowly start to wane. That Patrick lotto ball certainly threw a very large positive wrench into the grand scheme of things. (And yes I’m not so oblivious to actually bemoan another team having lotto luck haha)
