Agreed, the one player they probably don't want to get rid of is being mentioned in "rumors". It's all a smoke screen. Of course teams would take Parayko so bait and switch and now you end up getting JBow and injury Steen.

As a Leaf fan, I agree. Only problem is if you deal scrubs, you'll get 5th and 7th round picks in return.

If St Louis is looking at grabbing prospects and picks, they need to deal a highly wanted player (Parayko or not).

Not sure what they're trying to do over there going forward, team wise.

Not my post so not defending the vagueness or value... But, if the Blues go down this road it's a rebuild. A 1st, a valued prospect (someone like Liljegren) and a roster player that they could flip at the deadline for more magic beans is a good return for most good players. We didn't even get a good roster player back on that package for Kessel all those years ago.

IF they were going to do that, it would only be in the context of a full on reboot--meaning guys like Schenn, Tarasenko--basically everyone except RoR, Thomas and Kyrou--would be in play as well. That is clearly not happening.

Maybe Parayko gets moved when Petro comes back. I doubt it, but it could happen. None of the teams mentioned are going to deal what the Blues' ask would be.
