YES PLEASE!!

Not sure how buffalo could make it work though without sending back salary.

I assume Pitt would be looking for players, not picks/prospects.

"Mike Sullivan getting frustrated with Kessel"

I could see that. He can be incredibly frustrating to watch. He can also be a threat every shift. I don't think trading him will ever bring back what he provides offensively. Unless GMJR can fleece another GM which is seemingly more unlikely every day.

Kessel for Eichel and Dahlin. Seems fair.

How about Kessel for Scandella, a 3-rounder and Nylander?

I completely agree Sullivan is losing touch, and I would not be surprised if Rutherford pulls the trigger on firing him sooner than later to avoid a Bylsma situation. They only have three years, at most, to be a true cup contender, and after that they will most likely morph into a playoff contender, and will try to keep the playoff streak alive if it doesn't end this year.

They're gonna need to fill that hole on D. Throw in JJ.

The day they trade Malkin or Phil will be hard day. It will really test my fandom.

Well we went over this all offseason and I would say not much has changed since then. It doesn't make a lot of sense to trade Phil right now.

As other said it would take a fleecing in order to make the Pens better in a Kessel deal..... Manson/Rakell or Kempe/Muzzin or Connor/Morrissey or Dumba/Zucker type of deal which arent going to happen...

Or there is some random ass hockey deal like the Blues being 'down' on Tarasenko and we do a 1 for 1 swap. But why?

Also, if we traded Phil, I think it would look quite foolish that we traded Sprong.

unpopular opinion.... but I miss Reaves. Not from a goon perspective but he was at least entertaining. watching Riley Sheahan and Derek Grant and Garrett Wilson do nothing well is just boring.

Bonus points that he has more goals than a good portion of our team.

From the last thread....

Hagman from the fan said today "if people think Crosby runs the team, I can tell you he does not, because if Sid ran the team both Reaves and MAF would still be here".

Just thought this was interesting. It's all hindsight. Who knew we'd have some of these scrubs replacing him. I just hated having Reaves skating with Rowney and Kuhnhackl last year. I thought those two players basically ruined any chance to get real hockey out of RR. Carter Rowney.....good gawd he's an awful player.

As far as trading Kessel....Bad idea mid-season. Plus, he only approves 8 teams I believe. Really limits the return.

Close! My opponent doesn’t stand a chance unless I lose some players to injury. I did lose Patches last night.

Why would you pick the throw in of the Tatar trade?

I've said it before, but I think Pitt is in no mans land.

They cant go for it again, because the constant going for it and being a perennial cup contender has finally caught up, there is very little in terms of system depth.

Can't rebuild because trading Crosby/Malkin is career suicide.

I compare it to the Sedins in Van. Can't trade them because they are the heart and soul of the franchise.

3 cups is worth it though.
