They have 10 NTC and NMC on that team.

And people wonder why they couldn’t move out salary for Karlsonn?

- Santo_44

And they are first place in the league, with a very, very, very bright future.

Yzerman did a helluva job.

I can still critique things, just because they are good does not mean they didn't (frank) up in some aspects.

So here's a weird question:

League mandates that you need to protect anyone with a NMC.

What if you gave everyone on your team a NMC?

- Atomic Wedgie

Everyone on your team would have to be 27 or older.

damn, Detroit is pretty high also.

At least TB is good to have that many

- senstroll

Yeah, I don't like having that many NTC,NMC...alot can happen in the long term.

Me and the boys were discussing this the other day over wobbly-pops:

Has there ever been a better Cy Young season for an NHLer?

Sadly, we couldn't figure out a way to look this one up.

- Atomic Wedgie

Brandon Piri had a pretty good one. 22-2 in a 49 game season.

The Kids will both sign, and have no NTC / NMC's... And they will like it.

How do you even do that, go an entire year without an assist. Tenders get assists...

I pass the puck to myself..

Not allowed a NTC until they're 27 or something along those lines.

Anything can happen.

Gotta keep Kapanen. Without a Finnish player, this team is doomed.

- TheMussel

they can get rid of him... still have the Rasanen kid (playing in SWE I believe)

I think some (a lot?) of the credit has to go to Florida's state income tax... or rather, the lack thereof.

Having said that, it's going to be hard for the Lightning to keep Point around and Sergachev will be due for a hefty raise after next season. And we're worried about the Leafs being in cap hell.

To be fair, assists weren't scored the same back in those days. The league leader had 10 assists in 1917-1918.

As an aside, according to Hockey Reference he actually had 8 assists in 16-17 and 4 in 17-18.

They are, but both players are shoot first, pass second players. OV is more of a pass third or forth players.

Cool

never said a gm won't make a mistake nor did I say TB isnt an elite team with a bright future.

Simply pointed out they have too many NTC/NMC which they do....not sure why you feel the need to have to tell me TB is elite. I never said they weren't.
