Not convinced Parayko is available, and don't have a good feeling for whether or not that is a fair trade. I wouldn't mind getting rid of Nylander, especially for a dman, and at least St. Louis is in the west.

... but yeah, this deal ain't happening

"Told that at least three other teams have discussed contracts with Nylanders side, but only one is still going down that path..."

I volunteer Jack Johnson as a replacement for Parayko in STL. I know I know, don’t thank me all at once. We really just care.

Absolutely NO. Parayko is NOT and SHOULD NOT be available. Blues defense is questionable this season, part of that is injury and part of that is Bouwmeester who after this year probably won't be in the league. Trading Parayko would be idiotic and would be the last thing DA ever does as Blues gm. Blues have the offense. Defense and goaltending is questionable

No mention of St. Louis or Parayko for months.....

Parayko scores ridiculous one-handed OT goal.....

Suddenly.....

"BLUES ARE TALKIN SALARY & TRADING PARAYKO FOR NYLANDER"

This might as well have been written by Steve Simmons. 😒

Parayko for Nylander would be a win/lose for the Leafs.
Win because Parayko would fit nicely with Rielly but lose because they are losing the best player in the deal...

Tough call.

The Blues have actually always lacked true blue chip talent aside from Tarasenko. Willy would indeed help a lot.

1 point out of 1st overall and 3rd in GF without that best player in the deal though...

Yeah. It's like any deal involving Nylander that Nylander will be the best player in the deal. It's a matter if what the Leafs are getting back is profound to their success.

TOR has an embarrassment of riches up front. Moving a player who isn't even part of their current success to further their chances of winning the cup is a good deal.

Yep...
Do the Leafs really need to do a deal like this? i just don't know.
I feel like Blues wins this deal in the long run.

I would hang tight and wait out Nylander.

The were last overall in 2016. No one thought they'd even make the playoffs for years. Why is it suddenly spun they are big losers who never win? Completely irrelevant. this team is a major contender.

I don't believe in discounting your players in a trade simply because you have an abundance of what they bring.

Tarasenko is not blue chip talent. Has a great wrist shot but that is it. Can't or refuses to take a 1 timer and is pretty damn soft 95% of the time. A 1 dimensional player.

It's comical about how people love to talk about the past, like it has any relevancy at all.

Aren't the Sabres in the midst of a losing streak?

Seriously though, Sabres are a team on the rise....Should be some great years ahead of some good Leaf/Sabre games.
