So who replaces D in the lineup?
D is hardly the cause of the issue, so I wonder if someone named Nylander is coming, who btw, I asked around the leafs forum and they all say he is overrated and not worth what he is asking.
What if Kovy cones back?!
Or signing Teddy?! He putting up some good numbers in Sweden. |

That stinks!
I thought he finally caught a break after 4 years of wasting away in WBS/AHL. |

For a 4th liner, his NHL numbers weren't bad. Think he was just the easiest casualty rather than the worst player on the team. |

Seems odd to me. We weren’t paying him much and there are guys who are clearly more useless... Noesen and Stafford come to mind.... and I like Noesen but he’s been as useful as tits on a bull.
In Denver. Going to see Avs and pooptsburg tonight. Hate them both but hockey is hockey. |

He’s got 1 less goal than Nico. I would have waived several players before JSD. Noeson gets to stay? Wood? Mojo? |

Because he needs the cap space or the contract slot? Both?

Guy's, it's been worse, far far worse.
Today I was reminded of the 2010-2011 Devils. That's when they had MacLean.. and had an NHL-worst 9-22-2 record. They finished 2nd in the East just a few months prior.. crazy, right? The 3 month injury to Parise didn't help, but still. This was the team with Arnott, Rolston, Tedenby... the Langenbrunner drama. Kovy was -26 with 60 points in 81 games. Greene was -23, and our trusty Elias was just -4, leading the team with 21g 41a. These were the days of Tallinder, Volchenkov, One-Eyed-White, Fayne.. even Salmela got 48 games.
MacLean was finally fired just before Christmas and replaced by good ol Jacques Lemaire, one of the more respected coaches around, right out of retirement to save Lou. The Devils continued to struggle for a bit, but ultimately went from 9-22-2, to finish 38-39-5. Lemiare brought them back to respectability. They went on to draft Larsson 4th overall in the next draft and got to the Cup Final. So you had this 38-39-5 sandwiched between 48–27–7 and 48–28–6 records. Pretty amazing. This video is from Lemaire's first game back behind the bench. His assessment of the team couldn't have been better. https://www.youtube.com/w...pV2_tlUnAlsvcOXrV3wHoxLPU |

that ended up being a fun season when the team turned it around..getting closer and closer to a playoff spot..i remember dominating the caps and ended up losing 3-0.felt like that was when the playoffs started to slip away

Wow really ? What the hell was it you saw from dea? He doesnt really carry the puck or distribute it he jitterbugs all over like brunner touching the puck here and there and managed to get himself in good spots a few times but other then that just another kid who is better at skating then playing hockey.... You are going to love Mikey Mcleod lol if being fast is literally the only thing that makes you considered a good hockey player. One less goal then Nico today but was he even going to get 5 more all season? |

I don’t care that they waived JSD. Just pointing out how close he was in goal scoring to our #1 center. We’ve got people underperforming throughout the entire lineup. I

Fair or not that video made me want a coaching change. I just don’t feel like Hynes is getting the most out of our players. I don’t think he’s a bad coach, but he doesn’t seem particularly good.

Joey Anderson has surgery to fix a broken ankle looks like McLeod might have some time up in the NHL to prove himself. |
