What's so hard about calculating maximum contract and a plane ticket to Arizona? - Atomic Wedgie
Is the plane ticket a charter, first class commercial or a rumble seat on a FedEx flight? |

Babcock on mentality for #Leafs going out of lineup when Matthews is in: "Our guys all know he’s going to be here. I expect Willy will be here too, I expect. So there’s going to be other guys not playing too. But that’s all part of being on a team and doing what you can to help."

Disagree.
Alzner was a mediocre NHLer for years. Finger was a mediocre NHLer for one at like 29 and was confused for another mediocre NHLer (Kurt Sauer?) when negotiating the deal. - AdamFrench
They'll never admit it but everyone is about 99% sure that that's exactly what happened. |

I'd rather fly Lufthansa to Frankfurt and then back to my North American destination. |

Air Canada has a reputation of knowing how to VIP. It's too bad they don't treat us plebs that way. |

AC has a great business class and if you compare with any American airlines....AC is still not that bad in economy. |

Every european transatlantic carrier blows them out of the water in economy, maybe with the exception of British, who is about the same.

A few years back the American airlines complained about pro sports teams using a Canadian carrier to ferry them between US destinations. They started complaining loud enough the US governemnt started making noises about it and for the next season US sports teams started using US carriers. They switched back to Air Canada really fast. I heard about this because my Mom worked for Air Canada at the time. |

Some European countries still consider their airlines a 'national asset' and highly subsidize their operations. England stopped doing that a long time ago. |

I mostly traveled by train. They have a very competent system. Flying north was...(frank)ing scary. I'd imagine it's the same for people flying to Nunavut. |

Similar. Planes that go to the high north tend to be very old, but very well maintained. They're old because they need to be easy to repair, bulletproof and highly rugged to handle the weather. Everyone I know who's done it hasn't cared to tell the story, the flights are scary compared to modern planes. |

To me, (frank)ing up which player it was is way easier to forgive than thinking that Jeff Finger was a capable NHL defenseman worthy of being paid better than 3/4's of the league.
Like, the cap was $56.7 Million.
They spent 7% of the cap on a 29 year old defenseman with 24 career points. |
