Their continues to be speculation that the Leafs are closing in on a contract with William Nylander with just five days remaining until the December 1 signing deadline. Sportsnet’s Chris Johnston on Chris Johnston reported on the weekend that a long-term contract was still a possibility, but a bridge deal for a lesser amount is still an option. - MiB

At least you guys don't have to worry about getting one of the Flyers stinky defensemen in a trade for Nylander. No GM to trade with. |

plot twist: Leafs trade Nylander for Hextall to pull him out of retirement. |

Is there still an outside chance leafs don’t sign nylander and trade him even though Babcock referenced he hoped to get both pieces back ?
On TSN 1050 radio between 3-315pm interview regarding Wn saying his camp still believes their work draisital money!
Can you imagine being miserable in life when you get $6.75 and stil malcontent for the 1 million difference |

David Pastrnak leading the club with 17 goals and Brad Marchand with 21 points leading the club
How does Pastrnak have 17 goals, yet less points than Marchand's 21? How many apples does he have?! 3?
Is he like a Laine that can score on even strength?
“If you (said to) me when I was 15 that I was going to be playing for $6 million a year when I’m 22, I would not think you were (telling) the truth. It’s a dream come true.”
Well said Pasta. Well said.
All that bullpoop we hear about how players gotta "think of their future" and "take care of their family" while they argue about getting 6 million dollar or 8 million dollars a year is just so ridiculous.
Nice to see a young player that actually has some objectivity and recognizes just how much they all make compared to the average Joe that still somehow manages to take care of their families and think of their future. |

Yes a short term deal and a long term deal are still possible! So are all the other options. Long as he’s not putting a Leaf jersey on again I’m happy. Let him sign in KHL or SHL for 1/2 the money for 1 year. Maybe he will have a careeer ending injury, that’s the risk he’s taking. Perhaps he will suck in KHL or SHL because he’s not playing with Matthews! Cheaper next year! |

Huh, guess MIB made a mistake somewhere. He put down that Pasta had a club leading 17 goals, which is correct, but then said Marchand lead the club with 21 points. Both Pastrnak and Bergeron have 26, like you stated.
Edit: Oh, I get it. He mentioned both and said something about "leading the club", meaning, the two were "leading the club" as the big contributors, not that Marchand actually had the lead in points. |

Honestly if Nylander thinks he's not offered enough by Leafs, he should just sign an offersheet.
Can't be on a soon-to-win-4-Stanley-Cups team ánd want maximum salary... |

It sucks this has dragged out and Willy isn't signed already, but you really need to calm yourself and not take it so personally.
I still think he's just been following the bad advice of a greedy agent with a history of dragging contracts out and a father with a history of being a greedy hired gun himself. Hopefully Dubas can get the better of those two and resolve this in the Leafs' favor.
Willy is a great young player that will make this team better when he's playing again. If he gets traded instead for assets, I really hope we can get a fair return, but if he's signed and kept (at a decent price), I'll be happy and welcome him back while quickly trying to forget about this whole dispute. |
