I think Rittich is getting the start, I mean that’s at least what Peters said.

Rittich confirmed starter don't worry folks

Let's go for 3 straight against the Oil.

Fun stat time:

Smith: 34 GA on 264 shots; 1 goal per ~7 shots

Rittich: 13 GA on 178 shots; 1 goal per ~14 shots

Rittich is literally saving twice the number of shots yet he sits on the bench with the cap and clipboard. Time to give our "starter" a break.

Thank Todd McClellan, the worst coach in the league, for serving this game up on a platter for you Your boys deserve credit for taking advantage. Twas fun until Todd made his usual (frank) ups; then it was just frustrating.

Methinks that Dec 9, Prout and whatshispickle will be in the lineup to offer a little protection for the Flames. Kassian and Luc clearly had a problem with Chucky last night, especially once he facewashed McDavid (who (frank)ing tackled Backlund)

Proud of the boys for pulling out that win last night, and for goading the Oilers into some dumb penalties

I thought the Flames gave as good as they got and they targeted McJesus all night. I hope they don't put a plug in the lineup who'll only slant the ice the wrong way during their 3 min of ice time. Dumbest comment all night was Kypreos saying Tkuchuk should have fought Kassian. Don't need to validate that dumbass being in the lineup.

Agreed, Chucky did get under McDavid's skin, and Backs a bit too (though I would argue McDavid was the one getting on Backlund there).

If Kassian (Lucic as well) is feeling unencumbered in taking cheap shots at one of our best players, something will need to be done. They were after Chucky all night, first with the slew foot, then with Kassian, then with Lucic...

He got them to take stupid penalties, but I worry that they take him out of the lineup.

That hit by Bennett though... wow. Nurse's pride was a little injured there. Love how he was threw a late punch at Benny and then was beaking the linesmen for breaking up the fight "early".

Btw, where are all the 'experts' who said the Flames absolutely lost the trade with Carolina?
So far, this looks like one of BT's best trades ever.

Rittich saves three breakaways, keep the flames in it while maintaining a great save percentage...

Watch them go back to Smith now

I agree Rittich shoudn't be titled with the starter job in case he's not ready for the pressure but he's defintely gotta start getting played like one.
